hello dear readers! i'm really happy that you have deigned to check out this book - god knows how bad it will probably flop - but i welcome you!
first off, i have to settle a bit of lore surrounding fayre's heritage - the fact that she is one-quarter veela and henceforth, the attraction of other genders. okay so basically this is like fleur delacour from the books - her grandmother is a veela. note: no hate please, i just thought it'd be good for character development and things. and then, attraction from other genders: i thought about this for a while, but since fayre will eventually shown to be bisexual, it would be interesting to foreshadow this a little by showing two or more genders being attracted to fayre as a whole. i'd like to think that the attraction of males, perhaps, will be stronger, since that's kind of canon. right now i'm just trying to straddle a line between representation, my own thoughts and canon. what do you think? if you want this to be changed or have certain strong opinions on this decision, feel free to drop a comment or message.
secondly, criticism. please don't leave hate or unconstructive criticism. i will, however, accept constructive criticism and nitpicky/grammar nazi/spelling corrections, because i personally need those. i loathe those mistakes and as such will try to keep them down but, oh, they might still slip through the cracks and appear in published work.
thirdly, canon. i actually have not read cursed child before, although i've heard stories of how horribly wrong the story went, like cedric diggory being a death eater. or something. as such i will not include the events of cursed child or reference them in any way, although the next-gen children, like the weasley grandchildren, malfoy, potter and granger children may be mentioned or become side characters. yay!
fourthly, this story is actually a spinoff, of a rl friend's work (@supernova707)!! you can check it out- it's called storm coming, the only work on her profile. so naturally i'll feature her characters in this story (with her consent of course). fayre is a side character in her story- she's featured in the chapter 'the talking hat'. see if you can spot her!
and that'll be all! so, without further ado, i present to you: bud, book one of in bloom! thank you so much, again, for checking this out. i'm willow, and i'll see you on the next chapter! :))
