Nandito kami sa madilim na parte ng seashore. Tahimik at walang tao. Nakaka-bingi ang katahimikan.

"Spill what you want to say." Seryosong sabi ko kay CJ.

"I want to marry Andrea." He looked at me.

"Marry her, then." I weakly smiled.

"Okay. I just asked for your permission,"

"Kahit naman sabihin kong hindi- papakasalan mo parin naman siya di'ba?" Ngumiti parin ako. I don't want to cry.

"That's-"

"You don't need my permission, CJ. You have your own decisions." I looked down, trying hard to stop my tears.

"If only I could remember." He sighed.

"Okay lang." I looked at him as a tear fell from my eye. "Okay lang lagi. I'm used to it, CJ. Magiging daddy ka, ulit. Don't get confused. If you really loved me, you wouldn't fall for another. The mind forgets, so does the heart."

"I love Andrea, Erin. I love her so much that I can give her the whole galaxy."

Sinabi mo rin 'yan sakin, CJ. I badly want to tell you this but I can't. I don't want to meddle with your happiness.

"I know," I said as I walk away.

"Bakit ka aalis?" He stood up as well and held my wrist.

"Kasi kapag hindi, I don't know if I could stop you anymore. Baka magmakaawa lang ulit ako na balikan mo ako- kaya 'wag nalang."

"I hope you'll find the man for you."

That was supposed to be you, CJ. Gusto kitang sumbatan, pero hindi ko kaya.

"Nahanap ko na. Iba lang 'yung perfect woman for him. Hindi na ako maghahanap, CJ."

"I'm sorry for giving you failed promises."

"I'm letting you go, CJ. Kahit masakit, I'm letting you go and be with your happiness. Alis na ako." I said and went to our room.

"Hija, why are you crying?" Tarantang tanong ni tita Ava na katabi ni Ady.

"Wala, tita. Mahangin po sa beach, napuwing ako."

"Mom," CJ knocked on the door. "May bibilin lang po kami ni Andrea sa labas." Paalam ni CJ.

"His eyes are swollen too, Erin." She observed.

"Okay lang po ako, tita." I smiled at her.

"Erin, no. Please tell me. Para na rin kitang anak and I want to take care of you as much as I want to take care of CJ and Ady." She worriedly said.

"Okay lang po talaga, tita Ava."

"Bakit laging okay lang, Erin? You're so selfless. You're in pain. Paano ka?"

"I just don't like to get bigger problems, tita Ava. Tsaka hindi naman po nasaktan si Ady, tita. He's my concern, kayo din po." I smiled.

"Pero ikaw?"

"Hindi ko po alam, tita Ava. I don't know what to feel."

"Tell me honestly, anak."

"Gusto po ni CJ pakasalan si Andrea." I said, almost a whisper.

"And then?"

"I'm letting him go, tita Ava. I want his happiness. Titigilan ko na po siya. Hahayaan ko na siya kay Andrea. Baka sila talaga kasi 'yung para sa isa't-isa."
