Lunch time

In-line inside our school cafeteria, waiting for the foods to be severed.

"Do you want anything on your burger ma'am?"

"Cheese lang po" sabi ko sa cafeterian.

"How about drinks?"

"Ay water lang po ate" Bawal kasing mag coke pag athlete ka pero in holidays, aba tagay.

kinuha ko na ang tray ko papuntang table namin.

"Elisa!"

I turned around to check who called my name.

"Oh hi Kei,  do you need anything?" i said, standing in the middle of the cafeteria, holding my tray.

"Wala lang, i just missed you. Sabay ka saakin papuntang locker ko hatid na kita sa classroom nyo" sabi ni Kei, boy bestfriend ko since birth.

Keithan has been my bestfriend ever since we were little, a lot of people in our school would tease us to being together, but it just... will never happen. I cannot risk our relationship into something big. I also cannot waste memories just by one mistake. Actually there were times na i found myself staring at Kei, he's really a handsome kid to be honest. I could fall for him in any second if it weren't for Jaydah.

"Oh actually..kasabay ko sila Mira papuntang classroom, after namin kumain deretso kami sa pag gawa ng project namin e huhu" sabi ko sa mababang tono, malungkot na hindi ko makakasama si Kei papuntang classroom ko. He never missed a day without bringing me to my scheduled classroom kasi he wants to make sure na walang susubukan na bumully saakin.

Keithan is just a fucking 'Ideal boyfriend' why? He's caring, rich, kind. All the things you could ask for in a boyfriend. Kaya si Jayda, crush ni Kei, is so lucky to have someone with this kind of attitude. Jayda is like the sweetest girl in our school, though she's popular, she has the kindest heart among all the girls in the school. Keithan, the sweetest person i've ever met, kahit ilang taon pa siya mag hihintay para kay Jaydah gagawin nya talaga. Kaya i always try my best to keep my distance towards Kei. Ayokong ma turn off si Jayda kay Kei for always having a rat to follow him everyday.

"Okay lang" He chuckled, lumalakad papunta saakin. "May basketball game kami mamaya with other schools, can you support me please?" Dugtong nya na may pa puppy eyes. putangina nakakairita tong lalake na 'to. of course yes, i love this guy and i'll support him sa mga gusto nyang i achieve.

He would always ask me to watch his plays para if ever maka shot siya, he would look at me to check kung okay lang ba yun at kung approve na yon sa mga mata ni Jaydah. A lot of people have seen Kei looking at me and getting the wrong idea, it's really just our 'thing', never yan si Kei mag kakaroon ng feelings saakin kaya i thought of it as a 'just friends' kind of action. I never really thought people would get the wrong idea because really, we should actually normalize those kind of actions without romanticizing one.

"Okay, i'll eat my lunch na.. galingan mo mamaya."I smiled at him and waved my little hands at him.

"Bye Elisa!" Umalis na siya at ako naman, papunta na ng table nila Mira.
