Girls Versus Boys

Avery, Mikayla and Charlie were doing the dishes as Ron and Ginny got the stuff ready for quidditch, Charlie was washing whilst Mikayla was drying and Avery was putting away. Avery said that she's only helping because she needs a distraction from her nervousness of waiting for Parvati's arrival. "I don't understand why you're so nervous Av, you two are perfect for one another." Avery sends Mikayla a glare, which gives Charlie the opportunity to splash the blonde with water, making her squeal in surprise as Avery runs away saying something about needing to stay dry. Mikayla laughed as she uses the tea towel as a whip, hitting Charlie on the bare leg, before running away to escape his retaliation. She runs towards Ron and Ginny with Charlie close behind she ran in between the pair as Ginny handed Mikayla her broom, and Mikayla quickly soared up away from Charlie, almost falling off her broom from laughing so hard.

Ginny, Ron and Charlie joined Mikayla in the sky once she had steadied herself, Ginny flew right next to Mikayla whilst Ron and Charlie went to the opposite side of the pitch. "Ready to kick some ass?" Ginny asks as smiles at Mikayla, "puh-lease I was born ready G." The girls share a high-five, "I'll man the goal, you handle the quaffle." Mikayla suggest a plan, Ginny nods as the pair get into position, "ladies can start." Charlie passes the quaffle to Ginny while Ron and Mikayla get into position. Ginny flew up to Mikayla, "we both are chasers, we'll work together and you can race to the goal if Ron/Charlie get the Quaffle." Ginny tells Mikayla, changing their game plan, "ok let's win." Ginny handed Mikayla the Quaffle before Charlie began the game with a using his fingers as a whistle. Mikayla fake passes it to Ginny allowing her to get passed Charlie, then right as she reached the goal, she threw the ball up in the air where Ginny caught it and shot scoring a goal on Ron. "WOO!" Mikayla chimes as she throws a fist in the air, as Ron retrieves that ball.

After thirty minutes of playing, Mikayla rushes back to the goal just in time to block Charlie's score, but the force of Charlie's throw slapping against her shoulder, the girl spun down to the ground. There was a large snapping sound as she hit the ground hard on her side, Mikayla bit her lip holding in any foul language that wanted to erupt from the lump in her throat. "Merlin! I'm so sorry Mikayla." Mikayla hears Charlie's voice filled with worry, "it's alright, I've had worse." Mikayla chuckles lightly as she sits up, cradling her arm, "I think it's my collarbone again." Mikayla smiled as she tried to get up off the ground without using her arms, Charlie helped Mikayla get back up, "again?" Charlie questioned Mikayla nods, "yeah last year Percy pushed her over the banister and she broke her collarbone from the impact with the kitchen floor." Ginny informs her older brother, Charlie seemed to lose all the colour in his face as he looked at Mikayla's collarbone. "Charlie, it's ok, don't worry about it. My collarbone is just fragile since last time I broke it. You didn't hurt me." Mikayla send him a reassuring smile as they walked to the house.

"What happened to you?" Molly asks hoping up of her chair and rushing towards Mikayla once the group arrived in the kitchen, "I lost control of my broom and crashed, I think I might've broke my collarbone again." Mikayla spoke before Charlie could admit what led to Mikayla losing control of her broom, she knew Mrs Weasley would've shouted at him for being irresponsible and too rough for a 15 year-old girl. Charlie looked relieved as Mrs Weasley ushered Mikayla to sit down, telling her that she should really be more careful when flying, "I know, there's just been a lot on my mind and I wasn't paying attention." She admits, there was some truth to her lies to Molly, and she wanted to assure Charlie that was just as much as her fault as his. Molly grabs her first aid kit, that held most magical healing supplies, "I'm going to have to cut your dress because you won't be able to take your arm out of the sleeve." Molly informed the blonde as she pulled out some scissors, "ok." Mikayla smiled as Molly waited for her go ahead. Just after Molly frees Mikayla's arm from her sleeve, Mikayla rushed her other arm to hold up the top of her dress.

Once Molly was finished healing Mikayla as well as she could and put Mikayla's sling on, Avery and Parvati entered the house. Avery's eyes widen as she looks at Mikayla's new injury, "what happened to you?" Avery asked her sister, Mikayla smiled as she saw Parvati squeeze Avery's hand to give her some comfort. "Lost control of my broom, I'm ok though, so go and enjoy your date." Mikayla told her sister as she stood up and made her way over to the two girls, "welcome to the burrow Parvati." Mikayla pulled her sister's girlfriend into a half hug, "see you ladies later." Mikayla chuckles as she ushers them out the kitchen door, Avery had a big grin on her face as she led Parvati to the pond. "Ok, I'm going to get changed into something that can hold itself up." She laughs as approaches the stairs, "I'll help her." Ginny smiled standing up and following the blonde upstairs.

"That was nice of you to take the blame for Charlie." Ginny comments as Mikayla roots through her wardrobe for possible outfit's that won't be constricting on her collarbone, "there was some truth to what I said." Mikayla admitted to Ginny as she pulls out some ripped jeans, tossing them onto her bed before continuing her search for a top. "the part where you said that there's been a lot on your mind?" Ginny questioned Mikayla, who answered with a nod. "Tomorrow I'm going to court to make sure Fergal gets locked up for a long time after years of abuse, it's been 20 days since what happened in the Ministry, and losing my dad. I'm worried about everyone around me and honestly if feels like everything around me is crumbling and there's nothing I can do about it." Mikayla spills her truth as she finally found a top that will let her collarbone breathe, "take a deep breath and let all the negative thoughts funnel out as you exhale." Mikayla did as Ginny instructed and felt herself relax as she exhaled. "Alright Ginny, we're about to get real intimate." Mikayla chuckles as she begins to take off her dress, "I'm going to need your help with the jeans, I can do the top myself." Mikayla tells Ginny just as her dress falls to the floor, Mikayla quickly pulled on a red tube top, she then sits on her bed, pulling on her jeans to her mid-thigh. "Fred is going to be so jealous of me." Ginny chuckles as gets Mikayla to stand up, "why do you say that?" Mikayla asks Ginny as she stands behind Mikayla grabbing the belt loops of her pants, "I don't know maybe it's the fact I've seen you in your underwear recently and getting a face full of your ass as I pulled up Jeans." Mikayla laughs as she buttons her pants. "Thanks for the help, Gin."

"I expect the same in return, should I ever break my collarbone." Ginny laughs, "deal" the two girls laughed before returning to the kitchen.
