Rydel
~
I slowly walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. I didn't know what my feelings were, my emotions were a mess. Ellington broken my heart, and somehow I felt as if Baker could mend it back.
As I stepped into the kitchen, mom was at the sink in her pink apron. "Hey, mom," I greeted her with a smile. I probably looked a mess. I mean, last night, I hadn't even felt the need to take off my make up or anything, so it was probably smeared down my face.
"Hey, baby. Want some breakfast?" Mom asked me. I sent her a nod, and she smiled at me.
A few minute later, Ross walked down with a wide smile spread across his face. "What's got you in such a good mood?" I chuckled at him.
"Oh, noth- whoa, Delly. . . You need to um-"
"Ross, I know. I need to freshen up, and I know that. I'm just. . . Not in the mood," I shrugged.
"Well, we are going to the mall later. . . So, make sure you're all ready to go in about an hour. I nodded toward my overly-happy mother as she sat a plate of pancakes and bacon in front of me.
"Okay, well, we have a lot of upcoming dates to decide from before we go on tour in a couple of months," I heard Riker say as he entered the kitchen. He walked over to the fridge, pulling out a self sufficient amount of Apple juice.
"So, do you guys have any plans for tonight?" Asked Mom. Everyone nodded their heads, along with me, because Saturday was everyone's date night.
"And Ross, what are your plans for tonight?" I asked my younger brother.
"Alaina and I are going to the movies. Along with Rocky and Kat, and Riker and Maddy." I nodded my head. I finished my breakfast and scampered up the steps.
"Also," I heard mom call up the stairs as all of her children were up here, "after you get dressed, we want to talk to you about a very important decision!"
I walked into my room, looking at myself with a gaze.
Ew.
What even?
That's just horrifying.
I skimmed my choices of what to wear. Rummaging through my mess of old clothes I had to get rid of, I managed to pull out a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a Hollister tank top.
I touched up my makeup and curled my hair. After brushing my teeth, I walked downstairs where my brothers were waiting.
"Okay, guys, we wanted to make an announcement," my mom said. We all looked up to her, and saw as she was smiling broadly.
"Which is?" Ross pushed on.
"Okay, we went to the adoption center the other day. So, we've made the decision to adopt a child. A girl, to be exact," Dad explained.
"Really?!" I screeched with excitement.
"Yes, and that's why we have to go to the mall," Mom continued.
"Okay, well, two things," I started. "How old is she? And what's her name?"
"She is two and a half, and her name is Ridgelynn June."
"Awe, how cute!" I squealed.
"When are we going to go pick her up?" Ross asked.
"Tomorrow afternoon, around lunch," Mom informed. She pushed us out the door to go find clothes and baby stuff for Ridgelynn.
-After a long day of shopping-
We all piled into the house, and mom and dad came bounding down the stairs, covered in marks of pink and white paint.
"Okay you guys, go set the stuff upstairs and then you can get ready for your night." We all scampered up the steps and went to our separate rooms.
I pulled off my clothes, and pulled myself into a flowered patterned dress.
After putting on my boots and touching myself up, I got a text from Baker.
Hey beautiful. I'm outside, come on out. 💚
I felt the butterflies fly around in my stomach. I trotted down the steps, and began my way toward the door. I told my family bye, and looked as I saw the cutely dressed boy come up to me.

Yikes! New baby? Well how about that!Okay, so this is kind of a filler chapter, due to I haven't written anything for you guys in almost three months.
I'm trying to get my writing back on track, but until then...
Enjoy this incredibly boring chapter, that came with a surprise!
Also, sorry, I'm not checking for spelling mistakes.
