Y/N POV
BOOM! "Of course it rains on my day off, I can't get a break" I say to myself as I sit down at the table in the back by the window of the cat cafe I always go to. "Man, life gets boring. You kill a few people and then all of the sudden you can't get a break." I say quietly so no one can hear me. I look at the rain falling and then I get the idea to start racing raindrops. Go left raindrop,Go! I think to myself.
"Ma'am?" I snap out of my thoughts and look up at the waitress whose standing there with a smile on her face. "Uh,oh yea! My order?" I ask, she nods her head and I open my menu and study it for a few seconds. "Oh um, could I get a F/D and a F/C?"
She smiles and nods "Of course, it'll only take a few minutes." She says as I hand her my menu,she walks off to go prepare my order. "I need to stop letting my guard down like that" I say to myself as I look back out the window watching the cars go by spraying water on the sidewalk and people walking by. "I would say I feel bad but I would be lying,those people are weak if they can't stand a little bit of water" I say as I look away from the window. I look around the cafe,just then I feel something soft on my leg. I look down to see a grey cat rubbing against me, I lean down to pick the cat up. Looking at the collar of the cat as it sits in my lap. I study the collar for a second, "Huh...ok Haru,would you like to come home with me?" The cat purrs as I pet it's back "I'll take that as a yes" I smile down at the cat just as the waiter walks up to give me what I ordered. "Here you go ma'am" she puts the F/F cake down in front of me with my F/D. I look up at her, "thanks, also I have a question" she smiles at me "Go ahead" she says "Can I get the adoption papers for Haru here?" Her expression lifts as I say that. "Yes of course I'll go get them now" by the time she left she was basically jogging. After a while she brings the adoption papers to my table. By that time I finished eating and was ready to go. I guess she saw that because she brought me the check. I sign all the papers for Haru. They give me a cheap cat carrier so I could carry Haru. I get up out of my chair and push it in. As I was walking away with Haru I hear 2 men talking in the booth seat by the door. They looked like they would beat someone up just for the fun of it. I stop and listen to there conversation because I'm nosy like that. "I'm thinking of taking the hunter exam this year. I could do so much with that one piece of plastic." the other man laughed "Yea, they said the exam would be extra hard this year" they both starting laughing. "That's what I need, a challenge." I walk over to the table and put Haru's carrier down. "Hello good sirs" I say as I stand in front of there table. They look at me as I start to speak again. "I may have overheard your conversation and I would like to ask you two if you could tell me more about this hunter exam you speak of." They look at me after a while and bust out laughing while I stand there with a small annoyed smile on my face. "Ha, she really thought we would just tell her!" one of the men said through laughs. "I know, like we would just give away information!" the other said. I still stand there with a smile on my face and a tick mark. "Give me the damn information you bald bimbos" I say through gritted teeth looking into there souls. They stop laughing and look at me. They shiver a bit then finally start talking "The hunter exam is we're wannabe hunters go to get their license to BE a hunter." One of them says. "Yea, you have to bored some ship that takes you somewhere. Idk what happens after that though" the other one says with a bored look on his face. I give them a closed eye smile and walk away after picking Haru up. I walk out the door into the rain as I put my raincoat hood up. "I look down at Haru's carrier. "Ya know Haru,me and you are gonna have fun together. Your gonna come with me to the exam." She looks up at me through the bars. "Meow" is all she says. I giggle and continue walking.
