"Ready?" Tauriel asks, glancing your way.
You nod and nock an arrow, looking to the mass of spiders. You blow out a breath. "Go." Tauriel whispers.
You jump off the branch you're standing on and roll across the ground. You kneel and shoot a spider. You lunge for it and whip out your dagger, lodging it in one of his eyes.
You whirl around to kill another one as Tauriel throws a dagger over your head, hitting the spider to the left of you.
You hear branches cracking and look up. "Tauriel, there's more coming!" You exclaim, feeling a little panicked that you didn't take more Elves with you.
You quickly fire off more arrows as more spiders come from behind you. Tauriel moves behind you. "This is crazy!" You shriek. "I think I'm starting to regret going by ourselves." She murmurs. You give her a sideways glance and run off. You swing onto a tree and kill more spiders.
As Tauriel throws her last dagger, a spider lunges for her. "Tauriel!" You scream.
"Throw me a dagger!" She yells. You reach to yours and toss it to her, just as a spider attacks you. You fall off the tree and onto your back, gasping.
The spider screeches and jumps on top of you. You grab an arrow and stick it in his abdomen, grunting. You turn over and fire an arrow at the spider attacking Tauriel.
You run over to her. "I'm almost out of arrows." You announce.
She stands and blows out a breath. "We should go back." She says.
"Yes, we should. Let's go." You say, walking.
Eight spiders suddenly drop to the ground. You nock to arrows at once and kill one.
You reach for another and find that it's your last. You frown. "Let's make this count." You murmur, shooting one.
You reach for your last dagger, heart in your throat. Tauriel yells, jumping on top of one, stabbing it in the back.
A spider falls on top of you, almost crushing you. Your eyes widen as you try to reach for your dagger.
"Taur-iel!" You exclaim, voice catching.
"Y/N!" She yells desperately. A spider attacks her, knocking her to the ground.
Suddenly arrows whiz through the air. You squeeze your eyes shut as the spider on top of you falls away.
You suck in a breath of air and watch as Legolas swings down from the door, Elves following right behind.
The spiders are quickly dead as Tauriel and you stand up. "Y/N! Tauriel!" Legolas asks, looking between the both of you. "What is the meaning of this?" He asks, glaring at a dead spider.
"I-I can explain." You say, brushing the leaves off your backside. "We thought we could slowly deteriorate the spiders. So-" You start.
"So you could get yourselves killed?!" He asks.
Tauriel steps foreword. "Legolas, please. Don't yell at her, it's my fault. We...I should've brought more Elves. But we know that king Thranduil wouldn't agree with us." She says.
Legolas looks to Tauriel. "No, he wouldn't." He confirms.
"We were just trying to keep the spiders away. They're spreading widly...more than any of us would care to admit." You say.
He sighs and shakes his head. "You're right, Y/N. I'm sorry. I'll talk to my adda about it. But I'm not promising you anything." He says.
You glance at Tauriel and she glances at you. "Thank you." You say in unison.
"Come, let's get back to the Woodland Realm." Legolas says, walking off.
"Do you think king Thranduil will allow us to go to Dol Guldur?" You ask, hushed.
Tauriel gives her head a slight shake. "I do not think so." She whispers.
You frown. "He will not ever change, will he?" You murmur.
She sighs. "Probably not."
