Trigger Warning⚠️ : panic attack, self harm, blood, yelling? Idk

Deceit would have never pictured himself doing this, but here he was walking to Patton's room for advice. He knocked on the door. "Come on in kiddo!" Chirped Patton. He opened the door and stepped in hesitantly to find a taken aback Patton. Uh, w-what do ya need d-deceit?", Dee could sense the fear emanating from the tall dad figure. "Oh, umm, nothing important if I'm bothering you." Patton realized that Dee wasn't wearing his gloves. He was telling the truth. "No, it's fine... kiddo!" Dee visibly relaxed, "Oh w-well, I kinda have a question..." Patton became almost confused, deceit had never been nice to Patton let alone asked him something. "Yeah, anything you want, you can ask." Deceit felt the butterflies in his stomach flutter. "W-What is, ummm-" Deceit thought of the dark brown fluffy hair and the snarky remarks. "What is what, kiddo?" Dee was pulled back into reality, "Oh! uhh, well, what is... w-what is l-love?" Patton was shocked, he had always thought that Dee never loved anyone. "Well, kiddo love is when someone makes your heart flutter and your stomach tie in a knot. Someone who makes you feel all warm and jittery and fuzzy inside. When someone makes you feel like that... well that means you love them." Patton finished. "Is there someone that makes you feel like that?", "Oh, umm..." he glanced at the picture of Virgil that Patton had on his wall. "Oh. Oh!" Patton realized what Dee was looking at. "I-it's Virgil? You love Virgil?", "umm yeah" Dee regretted saying it the instant he was finished. What if Patton told someone? What if Patton told Virgil? Dee started panicking and breathing heavily. Patton realized and tried something that always calmed Virgil down. He reached over and tried to run his fingers through Dee's hair but Dee flinched away and hissed."I-I'm sorry, I didn't- I thought maybe it would help, it helps Virgil. I- I didn't mean to- I'm sorry, I-" Patton babbled until Dee interrupted him. "Its fine, I just, I don't like contact. You didn't do anything wrong." Patton sighed out of pure relief. "Are you gonna tell him today?" Patton was curious seems how he had a crush of his own on someone and wanted to know how one confesses. "Um yeah I think I will" Dee was hit with a sudden surge of confidence. He started out of the room as he sincerely thanked Patton. "No problem kiddo!" Dee made his way to Virgil's black and purple door and was about to knock when he heard Virgil's all too familiar crying. He burst into the room and saw Virgil crying on the ground with his wrist bleeding into a puddle next to him, he was staring at a red stained straight edge only inches from him while he was rocking back and forth. "OH MY GOD VIRGIL!! WHY ARE YOU CUTTING?!?!" But Virgil was deep into a panic attack so he wasn't comprehending anything. Dee cleaned him up and was trying to calm Virgil down but nothing was working. Then he remembered what Patton had said about how running your hand through his hair usually helped to calm him down. So Dee started rhythmically dragging his fingers through Virgil's soft and fluffy hair. How can someone's hair be so soft? Virgil's breathing slowly began to match Deceit's and Virgil can't back to reality. He blushed slightly when he realized he was leaning against Dee, he looked away but not quick enough that Dee didn't see his adorable blush. Oh my god he is so cute! We're so close. I could just... "I'm sorry that you had to deal with that and clean me up." Virgil was staring at the ground. "Oh no problem." No problem?! That was the stupidest thing I've ever said! Why was he apologizing?! "Virgil, why were you cutting again?" That comment brought tears to Virgil's eyes. But he brushed it off, "Oh nothing important, just heat of the moment I guess." Heat of the moment?! What does that mean? What happened? "What happened? Virgil, who did this to you?" Virgil brought his eyes up and locked gazes with Dee who could see the pain in the smaller trait's eyes. "You did." Dee's heart shattered into a million little pieces. "W-what?" Virgil started crying. "Don't act like you weren't just in Patton's room confessing your love for him! I was stupid to think someone would actually love me." He didn't know it was possible but Dee's heart broke even more. And with that comment, Deceit couldn't hold it in anymore. "I love you! I have since the day you showed up in the Dark Sides! When I was in Patton's room I was asking him what love was because... because Virgil, I love you!" Virgil couldn't believe what he was hearing. Deceit, the man he had loved since day 1, just told Virgil that he loved him! Virgil just stared at Dee in disbelief. They just sat, Dee gazing down lovingly at the perfect, small Virgil, and Virgil staring up at the handsome majestic Dee. Deceit broke the silence, "Can I kiss you?" Virgil smiled for the first time since forever. "Absolutely." Dee pulled him into a long kiss and that night they both fell asleep happy.

"I love you."

Dee smiled

"I love you too."

I know the ending seemed rushed but oh well...
