Did you ever had constant tussle within your mind about your feelings and your body, where

you feel in a way but cant figure out why, where you want to move yourself but don't know

how because in your mind there is something that constricts you from doing so. When

finally, the tussle ends its all numb because you have given up over the idea of feeling or

moving something. This is how I remember that morning, lying on bed under awfully

sound full fan, I pushed myself to move, all I could do was struggle to open my eyes. Opening

my eyes felt like I was removing a huge rock from the earth surface. As I opened, with my

blurry vision I looked around, I was alone on the bed. Lying on the edge of the bed, I looked

down and saw my one-year old daughter, Saniya, holding her favourite toy, gawking at me

as if i saw a ghost. I tried to get up and move towards her, but to my dismay I couldn't, I

tried moving my hands, but it felt like as if they were tied up. I called her, "Saniya, my baby,

come here", she looked at me with fear and crawled away, I was shocked, why didn't she

come towards her mother . My body felt numb, all I could think was why my daughter is running

away from me, I try to get myself up, and start calling "Rishiii , rishi", my four year old son,

and suddenly hear the voice of my son crying, I could see him, standing in drawing room, crying . I tried

to get up, used all of my energy, but couldn't, that's is when I see this man, coming towards

Rishi, I know him from last night. He picked rishi in his arms and brought him towards me.

He seemed to nourish him, he tried to stop his crying but after series of failed attempts to

make him stop crying, irritated, he stretches his hands towards me to grab my hair, and pull

me up. With my hair in his hand, he tells me "chup kara isko, natoh tera jaisa haal karunga"

and walks away. A sudden trepidation ran into my nerves, I got up, something I thought was

impossible a minute ago. I took Rishi in my arms, and took a quick inspection of any wound.

There was this small piece of glass stuck in his foot, I ran into the drawing room within a

second and bought back first aid, and band-aided him. When Rishi stopped crying , I started looking

for Saniya, who came crawling up to her older brother, covered in blood, I got scared, I

picked her up, she all frightened, tried to run away from me, I looked for any wound, but couldn't

find any. I kept both of them on bed and came out of the room, and saw my drawing room

completely filled with broken glasses covered in blood, I panicked , what the hell happened last night,

where did all this blood came from, I ran into the bathroom, to get a mop and clean it all up, as I

turned back to the drawing room, I see footprints of blood moving towards my direction. I

moved my sight towards my feet, I was shocked, it was covered with blood, coming out of

the flesh sewed with hundreds of small pecks of glasses. What's funny was that I couldn't feel

anything, no pain, no hurt, it was all numb. I started drawing water to clean up the wound

that's when I saw myself in the mirror. I couldn't recognise myself; it was me but it wasn't. In

the mirror I could see this women, with half shaved head, as if done by a very angry,

unprofessional hairstylist, bruised eyes, as if she hasn't slept in years, the women nose

looked broken as if she was beaten to death with nail scratched on her neck. This women

was me, it was me. Who must have done this to me, was it that man who pulled me out of

my bed? I don't know! I will ask him when he gets back home for dinner.
