Season 2: Episode 3

I'd been living here for only a few weeks, and things keep getting weirder and weirder. First, I had to start new school life, where everyone kept to themselves and their little group unless they needed to talk to others. Then there was the car crash, where three girls had died, and everyone there didn't even seem effected by it. It was like people ended up dead so much that this was just normal. When I went to the graves to pay my respects a week ago, the bodies were gone, they'd been dug up. And that isn't even the weirdest part. Last night I was walking home and I swear I saw a person with a weird face turn to dust. It looked like he got stabbed by a girl who was at my school, but by the time I blinked, everything was gone.

Now, I walk through the halls, going to the library. I needed some books for school, and I had some questions about what I've been seeing. For some reason, the librarian seemed like the guy to go to. I open the doors, to see the librarian with a bunch of juniors, and Ms. Calendar. Amongst them was the girl I had seen stab the man not long ago. The librarian was talking about something, "Saint Victorious?"

They stop when they see me and I smile, " Hi, I'm new, I need some books?"

The librarian looks up and walks towards me, "Yes, um, what books?"

" How to Kill a Mockingbird, and the ones for physics class."

"Right, middle row up top, and third row on the left." he says, pointing to the rows.

I nod and skip up the steps, collecting the books that I needed, inhaling the scent of the library. I always loved the smell of books. I walk around, going deeper into the bookcases. I see a darker shelf and look at the titles, nothing like I'd ever seen before. They looked like spellbooks and magical history and whatnot. Taking one, I flip through the crusted pages, looking at all the intricate drawings of demons and vampires, and symbols. I bite my lip. This was what I had saw last night. Curious, I stuff the book in my bag along with the other three I needed for class. Walking out, I wave goodbye to the librarian and the rest of the group, on my way to my physic class. Going through the rest of the day, I zone off, just listening to the lectures of the new school year. The bell finally rings and I go out into the fresh Sunnydale air. Sighing, I step down onto the street and walk across to the cemetery. My house was behind the cemetery, which made it pretty creepy at night.

Taking off my sweater, I tie it around my waist and continue the long walk home. With the sun beaming down, I hop the fence to the cemetery, dodging the graves as I stumble across it. I step through the front door of my house, letting the cold air conditioning blow over me. With a small wave from my mom, I go upstairs and take the books from my schoolbags. Finishing my small amount of homework, I pick up the book. Taking a deep breath, I run my fingers over the thick cover of the demon book, feeling the pentagram carved into the center. Flipping it open to a random page, I look at a picture of one particular vampire. He had a birdlike tattoo on his back, and was in the process of ripping a person throat out. Shuddering, I read the inscription.

Depiction of Angelus, the vampire evil-doer. Born in Galway, Ireland in the year 1727 with the human name of Liam. His sire, the lovely vampiress Dalra, was his partner in crime through his exploits in Galway. In this, Angelus killed nearly the entire town, including the killing his entire family. He took the name "Angelus", seemingly inspired by the fact that his little sister believed him to have returned to her as an angel, shortly before he killed her. Angelus and Darla traveled the world for decades, wreaking havoc wherever they went, and creating a reputation as the most vicious and dangerous vampires in the world. Angelus had a gift for torture, of both the body and mind, using his dark talents in the form of brutal murders, rapings, and homicides. In his years, Angelus sired many others, and killed thousands more. In the year 1898, gyspys placed a curse on Angelus as revenge for murdering their beloved daughters. With this, Angelus's soul has been restored, making him pay for the atrocities he had committed in the last 170 years. The curse can only be broken by one moment of pure happiness.
