This was a short piece of flash fiction I wrote on the stimulus of Corona

Days off turned into weeks,

Weeks turned into months.

Sitting here, home, reading

Watching, cleaning.

Out for an hour, just,

To feel a summer breeze

and the sun to beat down on my head

Until I felt alive again.

This strive towards a vaccine,

One step forward two steps

Back, never knowing

What is around the corner

But hoping its better than this.

It has to be better than this.

And yet my parents are sat

Next to me, and my brother isn't

Always out. We have family

Dinners and we can walk

Side by side, just for an hour.
