Reyna POV

"We just want to assess if you're a threat." Coulson explains.

"And if we are? Will you lock us up like you did Jason?" I ask, feigning politeness.

"Yeah, how do we know you haven't killed them? That's my si-"

"Nico, enough." I silence him with a glare.

"He has a good point." Coulson says. "We understand why you don't trust us. But you're not doing yourself any favors by being secretive."

"Because we don't need the favors. Demigods have been protecting Western Civilization for millennia before your organization, without you noticing, and we will be here for millennia after it collapses." I cross my arms. "But if you insist..."

Nico tugs my arm. "Praetor, a word?" he looks shocked.

Once out of earshot, Nico says, "What are you doing? They could destroy New Rome. We said we were trying to stop them, not-"

"I'm aware." I snap. "I'm just trying to do what's best for New Rome."

"They could shoot you right here."

"They won't. They know it'll start a war. They don't want war, that's why they're here. We let them see what they need to see, they leave. It's as simple as that."

"What if I shadow traveled to get the others? They could fight!"

"And what exactly do you think they'll do to you if they know you can do that? Besides, you don't have the strength to make that many trips and outmaneuver them." I glance back at the men.

"But-"

"We don't want another war. We have no other option at the moment."

Nico frowned. "Fine, but for the record, I don't like this."

I sigh. "I don't either." I walk back to Coulson. "One hour. No talking to civilians. No property damages."

"Deal. We'll be out of your hair soon."

As they enter the city, I get an Iris message from camp Half Blood's Delphi. "Are the men in Black there?" She asks.

"Yes, they're doing a quick investigation."

She starts muttering, panicked. "Get then out immediately." She finally says.

"What? Why?" I ask.

"I saw a vision of New Rome in flames, with their logo on the ships above."

A/n I have nothing to say for myself.

I had the first half of this chapter sorted out, but then I got stuck. Shout out to @Candy_Katie for pointing out the shadow travel plot hole. I would've just replied to your comment but then I realized, hey, I haven't written in ages.

As for your other question of Percy not flooding the place, none of the others can breathe under water and he wouldn't have time to find, save, and evacuate the Seven before SHIELD could stop them. This is my on the spot explanation, it'll be worked into the next chapter.

I will not be updating for another while. I'm sorry, I have some things coming up. Plus, I don't know what I'm doing with the "New Rome in flames" thing yet.

Anyway, I forgot how the oracle works and my cat is laying on me so I can't scan through the books- I should google. Crap. Well, I've already written it. Plus I cannot wrote poetry for the life of me so y'all do not want to see a prophecy.

Should I stop leaving such long authors notes? Probably. Will I? Probably not.
