Raven was in her room most of the day Sunday prepping for her cover so I didn’t even know her mom and dad finished the house so when she went down stairs she didn’t even recognize the place, brand new furniture, blue suede couches and love seat, with a beautiful black and blue area rug, it was a 50 inch flat screen on the wall, and the craziest of them all was the photos of them on the wall and the accent tables, Raven hadn’t realized her mom kept a safe box of pictures of her and her brother’s it was a definite no, no when it came to the Connectors but she didn’t care, but while Merric was out doing his job Rena raised the kids for a good while she didn’t do nothing because even though she wouldn’t tell them, she wanted them to be loved not just some cold heartless people but of course it didn’t work like that because, they retrain you once you go to the main building it’s ever child for themselves.

Max was already ready when Raven made it to kitchen sitting at the brand new kitchen table while Rena cooked some breakfast “God I thought you would be all day, I’m ready to get this over with”

Just like Max the eager one, the only reason he graduated from the main building was because he was a skilled killer but very impatient, he never liked doing cover hits, he just likes to get an assignment, execute and be done, basically he doesn’t like to play with them like Grayson does.

Raven sat down at the table while her mother put down some fresh pancakes and sausages “Well if you want this to be over quick I have to be attractive, remember he’s suspicious of everyone so this will not be easy, eager max”

“Not funny, stop calling me that”

Merric walked in the kitchen rubbing his eyes “Please act like you two were trained to do this”

I think sometimes Merric did forget they were kids, because they really never see each other, nor do they act like kids, it’s just far too dangerous.

Raven scarf down the food and grabbed her purse and keys.

“Here” her mother hands her and Max some backpacks that she brought last night.

Max just frowned and took the bag.

KelGrove Academy is 20 minute drive from here so it wouldn’t take them long to get there.

Raven had never been to a high school before so when they got there the parking lot was crowded with kids still sitting in and on their cars, you could hear loud music, and see teacher’s shooing the kids to class. She got out the car feeling a little self-conscious. Why? She said to herself, I kill people for a living, teenagers shouldn’t scare me. Raven dusted off her skinny jean pants like she had something on them, she looked up what normal teenagers wore and skinny jeans, with a cute graphic tee, with open toe heels  or tennis shoes was the norm for a popular girl, she choose the tennis shoes today, she didn’t want to attract to much attention. Raven pulled my hair in a simple pony tail, with some long dangled black earrings to match her tee.

Max and she were told to fit in as much as possible, they both have high IQ’s so dummying down will be more difficult for Max but not Raven because he always has to be right.

Max will be starting his sophomore year, and Raven will be a senior, but in all reality they could teach the class, everyone isn’t like them, they have a special gene in their family it makes for a smarter, faster, and all around better assassin, basically their families’ genes have been genetically engineered. Although only Max, Merric, and Raven harvest it, it’s something that runs on Merric’s side of the family so only the Mayhem kids would acquire it, not Rena but that doesn’t stop her from being good at her job, but Grayson on the other hand IQ isn’t as impressive as the rest of the family and he struggles with it, but he makes up for it by being an unsympathetic killer something they value.
