The doorbell rings. I look at Austin, sleeping. i shrug and jog to the door. i open it startled. "B-Becca?" i ask. she sighs. "hey." she says avoiding eye contact. "Hey, um, come on in, we'll talk upstairs Austins sleeping." i say letting her in and going upstairs. i sit down on my bed and she sits in the chair. "What are you, doing here?" i ask. "im sorry, i had to get everything off my chest, im sorry. Paul and i have been fighting, and hes dating Shelby now, and now im upset because he hates me, and so does danny, and Britt wont even talk to me anymore! i ju-" she bables quickly, i cut her off. "Becca! Chill, its ok! i'v forgaven you! i was never really mad! i loved Danny from the start. Paul doesnt hate you, and Shelby and him are dating?" i ask. she nods. "They are coming home this weekend." i say. she sighs.
"You've been going through a really hard time Bec, and so have i with my mom not living here, and Danny leaving. i know your life at home is ruff, and i mean, the boys wont ever be here, if you want to stay here, with austin and i your more than welcome." i say. she smiles. "you'd do that?" she asks. "im your friend Becca, im not going to let you be hurt." i say. "But i hurt you Maddie, you shouldnt be so nice." She says. i shrugg. "im just nice." she laughs. we hug it out then I hear a scream from down stairs. "oh god, AUSTIN!" i shriek. we dash down the stairs. Austins on the couch staring at us. "bad dream?" i ask. he nods. "Austin, will you come with me to Becca's to help pack her stuff?" i ask. he looks puzzled. "erm, sure but why?" he asks. "shes gonna stay here for a bit." i say. he nods and goes to get dressed.
"Thats all of it." i say closing the doors to Austins car. "Britt?" Becca asks. Britt is walking by. she sighs pulling her headphones off of her head. "i guess this is unavoidable." she says. Becca nods. "What you did to Maddie was wrong, what you did to Danny was wrong." Britt says. "Britt, i swear, it wasnt like that, Maddie is cool with me now, im, im moving in with her, shes ok!" Becca says starting to cry. "Doesnt make what you did not wrong." Britt says. Becca holds back a sob. "Brit?t? dont be mad at Bec, everyone makes mistakes." i say. "Excuse me?" Someone says. "oh god." Becca says under her breath. "Your maddie right?" a pretty girl wearing a pink sundress asks. "er yeah?" i say. "hi, im Shelby! Pauls Girlfriend!" she says hugging me. "i'm outta here." Becca says getting in the car. "i gotta go i guess, nice meeting you." i say. i hug britt then get in Austins car. these girls had to deal with this.
