Chapter Six

The fear hit me hard. But I kept going. I had to find my family and make sure they were ok. But the dread I was feeling made time feel slow. It seemed like hours before I reached the pack house. I quickly opened my mind link and heard my alpha tell all non warriors to get to the safe house. I knew that meant my mother would be there, and Reese as well. But that also meant my brothers and my dad would be fighting. And Ana would be fighting along side them. I looked back at Malcolm and Michael to see they had been right behind me. They looked at each other and then howled to bring their warriors. Then they shifted into their wolfs. Malcolm's wolf was pure white while Michael's wolf was pure black. I noticed that they had let their wolfs take over so instead of Malcolm and Michael they were Mashiro and Makkuro. Which means Yin and Yang. Makkuro bolted to the battle and I watched him until Mashiro nudged me towards the safe house. I nodded and ran like hell was after me. When I reached the pack house my mom was waiting for me at the secret door. As soon as I entered I noticed that it was mostly pregnant women and children. And the too injured or old. My mother led me to Reese and we embraced and huddled together. Reese had tears in her eyes because her father was also in battle. I looked her in the eyes and I said "It's ok Reeses Pieces they'll come home. " She shook her head and said "Alive or in a body bag? " An hour later we were still waiting for the battle to be over when all of a sudden my mother jerked back and screamed bloody murder, clutching her chest. Her wolf then let out a painful howl full of sorrow, it was then I knew her mate, my dad had been killed in battle. Five minutes later our Luna had done the same. Which meant we had lost our alpha.

The battle lasted another five hours when we were given the all clear to come out. We all came out slowly , too scared to see what the battle had done to our home. The damage was one a tornado would make. They destroyed everything. I turned towards the battle field when my name was called. Ana rushed towards me and grabbed ahold of me. She repeated over and over. "I'm so sorry Saya, I'm so sorry. I tried. I really did. " I nodded my head and sobbed into her shoulder. Reese joined us and we all three cried for those we had lost. Composed I asked Ana if she had noticed if Malcolm and Michael had made it. Ana smiled weakly and said she had seen them and now she knew why they were legendary. But they lost some warriors. And their father. I felt the tears fall freely and I choked back a sob. Their father was my dad's best friend and like a uncle to me. I wanted to find them but I knew they needed space to grieve. I then asked what of my brothers when all of a sudden I heard my brother David yell out "Saya!" Ana snapped her head in his direction so fast I thought it would break. My brother stopped dead in his tracks and stared at Ana in wonder. It clicked together. Ana was 16 the age you find-

She cut off my train of thought when she whispered my conclusion "Mate." My mouth dropped open as Ana lunged herself at my brother and kissed him. He grabbed her by the waist and picked her up. He deepened the kiss and practically started making out in front of us.  Reese awwed and I cleared my throat. David stopped and blushed a brighy pink while Ana smiled with no shame. I said "Congratulations guys." Smiling I said " See Ana?  Told you we were sisters." She giggled and ran over to hug us. She then whispered " "Don't worry y'alls time come soon." We smiled and nodded our heads in agreement. It was true. Reese was already old enough and my birthday was in three days. I quickly lost my smile as I realized dad wouldn't be there for this one. Or any other birthday or Christmas or anything. Tears welled into my eyes and my brother gathered me into his arms and said "It's alright kiddo. He'd want you to be strong. He fought bravely. Don't pity and be sad about his death. Be proud. " I took a ragged breath and nodded. He brushed my tears away and hugged me again. He let go and grabbed Ana and said " Well lets go find mom and tell her the good news. " We made our way to my mother and she was delighted about the news and acted like a brave woman. I was proud of her. But she seemed to have aged ten years. And her eyes didn't hold the smile she had on her face. They were full of sorrow and pain and looked a little haunted. Suddenly I smelled Malcolm's and Michael's scents. I turned to find them heading over to us. I met them half way and hugged them with so much force that if they weren't wolf it would probably crush their bones. They held me and whispered their sorries about my dad will I did the same for theirs. Suddenly our beta, a man who's name I never knew, announced that we were now no longer the Sliver Rose pack. We now belonged to the Black Night Pack. The most dangerous and deadly pack in history. My mother, me, Ana, David and Reese all looked at each other and we all knew we were screwed.

Heeyyyyy peoeples. So OMG Ana found her mate!!!!! So David is actually my friend Martin Aguilar and is sadly not my brother. But I definitely think of him as one. Now the next chapter will either be up later tonight or early tomorrow. Cause omg school is back!!! I don't know about yall but I'm excited.
