Chapter 9

LUKE'S POV

I wrap my arm around her and pull her into me.

"Alex, what's wrong?"

She continues to sob, but begins to calm down a bit. She pulls away from me and sits up to begin to talk.

"I can't do long-distance relationships, I have separation issues."

I stared at her, listening for her next sentence to come out. She started looking down. I couldn't help it but to just feel bad for making her cry. It hurt me to see her upset like this. I soon scooted closer to her, I gently put my hand under her chin to lift her head. I gently crashed my lips into hers.

She pulled away and began to talk.

"I'm only about to tell you this, because I really like you and trust you. And I see us working out in the future. This is something that I NEVER talk about, even with Karsyn. Karsyn knows, but she never brings it up because she knows how I feel about it. So I expect you to do the same."

I nod my head in response to her.

"My brother passed away when I was eight years old. He was my BEST friend. We were inseparable. He was my big brother."

"What happened?"

"He was in the Marines. And we went out to war, and got hurt. They got him to the hospital on base, but it was too late."

"Alex, I'm sorry."

"You shouldn't be. It isn't your fault. I'll just never forget my mother's face when she got the call that her son past away in war. She hung up the phone and looked at me with so much sympathy. She looked like she was in a state of shock. I had no clue, until she felt to the floor crying. She was weeping and saying 'Why him? Why MY son? He was my baby!' And I took it from there and tears filled my eyes. I will never forget that day."

Alex began to tear up. I put my hand on her face and wiped her tears away with my thumb. She looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Alex, I said leaning in to kiss her.

"Don't be. I'm fine," she said right before she took control of the kiss.

She leaned into me more and more, until she had me on my back. Her legs straddled me, as she continued kissing me. She began kissing me down my neck. She slipped my shirt off, and kissed me down my body.

I was not going to just watch her as she does this. I interrupt her.

"My turn," I say grabbing her and turning her on her back.

I took her shirt and bra off, and kissed her down her body, causing small, quiet moans to escape her mouth. I smiled against her warm body. I look up to her, smile, and bite my lip.

"Come here," she says signaling me over closer to her head. Once I got close enough, she reached in for a heated kiss. She bit my bottom lip and pulled away.

We soon took each other's pants off and before I knew it I was inside her.

THE NEXT MORNING

Karsyn's POV

I was the first one to wake up. I looked around and noticed that Luke and Alex were missing. And let's just say, it didn't take me long to figure out where she was. I quietly climbed out of bed, and walked down the hall. I slowly opened the door of the guest room.

There they were... Alex laying next to Luke with her head on his bare chest. She was clothed though, and I am pretty sure Luke had his boxers on. At least, they did they courtesy of getting dressed.
