Chapter 9. What Happened?

*monitors beeping*

"Aria? Aria! Are you awake?" Aria heard a familiar voice, it was Hanna.

"Where am I? Hanna, what happened?" Aria said confused.

"Aria, you- you got in a car accident. you've been knocked out for 16 hours." Hanna said trying to help her remember.

Memories of that flooded back in. she was driving home from Ezra's house, angry, mad, sad, and then she got a text message from -A, and then- that's it.

"I remember now." Aria said shaking.

There was a knock on the door then a tall handsome guy walked in. It was Wren; Melissa's ex-fiancé.

"Hi Aria. How are you feeling?" He said writing something down.

"uh good, my head hurts though." Aria said rubbing her temples.

Wren continued to write things down, " okay so I recommend a lot of sleep, it will take time to recover your broken leg. Take 2 tablets morning and night, they help ease the pain. And take these pills for all the cuts and bruises you have."

Aria didn't even noticed her broken leg. She looked down, and sure enough, a big cast was on her leg.

"When can I leave?" Aria asked with a frown on her face.

"I think tomorrow night, we should be done with the tests by then." Wren said smiling.

"Okayy, Where's my phone Han?" Aria asked with a worried expression.

"Right here, I'm surprised it survived." Hanna said laughing while giving Aria her phone.

11 unread texts;

Hanna; Aria, are you okay?! I'm on my way!!

Spencer; oh my gosh Aria! I'm going to stop by tonight, are you okay?

Emily; Aria I heard what happened, I'm coming to the hospital with spencer later. get better!

Mona; Omg! Are you okay? I'm soooooo sorry, I heard your leg got chopped off! 😦

Noel; I heard what happened, get better. hope your still coming to my party next week.

Ella; Aria honey, I'm coming when you wake up, call me when you get this. Are you okay?

Byron; Aria I'm sorry what happened please call me, I want to make sure your okay. - Dad

Blocked number; yikes! oops! sorry I shouldn't have distracted you while you were driving. kisses, -A

Toby; Hey Aria, I'm so sorry about what happened. I'm coming with spence and em to visit you, get better!

Caleb; Hey Aria, I'm heard what happened from Han, I'll come visit you this afternoon with Hanna.

Ezra; Aria?! Are you okay? Text me when you get this. I'll come when there aren't people around. xo, Ezra.

She replied to everyone except for -A and Ezra. She didn't plan on saying anything to -A, and with Ezra, she didn't know what to say. She was jealous of that girl.

Later that day Aria woke up in the hospital room. She looked around to see if anyone was there. And there was, it was Ezra.

Aria groaned. "What do you want Ezra? Where's your little girl toy?" Aria hissed.

"What?" Ezra asked confused.

"I thought we were just getting back to our old selves. But that girl who answered your door last night, who is she? She's the girl who kissed Caleb and caused all this drama between Hanna and Caleb. And know, even though we never really got back together, I'm not going to give you a chance. Now please leave." Aria said looking down as tears spilled out of her eyes.

"Sammy? My old college friend? She was there last night. She invited herself in right when I was hopping into the shower, but she insisted on staying so I went to shower, and then she said some one was at the door for me, and she it was some girl and she said you slapped her in the face and told her to stay away." Ezra said confused on what was happening.

"I didn't slap her! What the heck? She said that, I just asked if you were there, and then I well- I said 'you two have a hell of a time.' I thought- I just thought you were over me and you were moving on. I thought that when we were together, we were happy and we had fun, and there were spark, weren't there? I mean I felt something, I wanted to just run back into your arms and say I'm sorry. I just headed to your apartment to tell you we can be together, but then I saw her and- I'm sorry." Aria said sobbing uncontrollably.

"Aria, I could never move on from you, your the only girl I've ever truly loved. I would never do that to you, I'm sorry." He said kissing her forehead. "I'm sorry, but I'm here now, and I am so sorry for what happened. You don't deserve this Aria, any of this." Ezra did shaking his head.

"But Ezra, I dated Jake. I mean I was just using him to get you off my mind, but I love you, not him. We already broke it off, it just wasn't going to work, Jake and I. We shared no interest, and well I'm just so sorry." Aria said, tears still rolling down her cheeks.

"Don't be." Ezra said smiling and wiping her tears away. " It's going to be okay."

Aria has visitors passing through all day, Hanna came back along with the other girls. Hanna and Aria talked about that Sammy girl. They both were so jealous of her, but at least they still had Ezra and Caleb.

Hanna explained how Sammy made the move on Caleb, and of course -A how made it look like he was cheating on Hanna. -A told them that there 'boyfriends were being naughty.' but turns out, neither of them did anything.

Ezra visited her throughout the day to make sure she was okay. He was so kind to her, he always knew the right things to say and do. He was perfect, and she loved him.
