My Guitar & Me, Chapter 1.

"We need to think of a name for this new band. Lauren, you're doing lead vocals and lead guitar. Isaac, you're the second vocals and the other lead guitar. Ryan, you're playing drums while I, considering I'm not as confident, will help you write the songs and I'll also do backing vocals too."

*1 week earlier*

Lauren's POV: I'm just driving to College in my car. Today's the day that Hannah, who is my best friend will be staying over for the night as she hasn't for quite a while.

Just as I got to College, I parked up and got my bag off the passenger seat next to me and got out of the car and locked it., putting my keys in my mouth as I walked up to the doors I could see Hannah stood outside waiting for me.

"Looking forward to me staying tonight then?" Hannah looked at me as she started to giggle. I looked at her as I took the keys out of my mouth and smiled. "Yeah, shall I stick your stuff in the boot for you because you probably won't want to carry it around all day?" She passed me her stuff and I put my bag next to her and went back to my car to put everything in the boot.

Hannah's POV: I'm really looking forward to staying at Lauren's tonight, it's been so long since I stayed there. I saw Lauren's car pull up in the College car park. I looked down at my phone before looking at a photo and locking it. I looked up and saw a small figure looking at me. It was Lauren. She had her car keys in her mouth and her College bag in her hand.

"Looking forward to me staying tonight then?" I said to her. A giggle escaping me. She offered to put my stuff into her car boot so I handed everything to her, as she put her stuff down beside where I was standing.

Nobody's POV: The girls would always hang around together in College, though the only day they would actually see each other was a Thursday. Lauren studies Media and Photography whilst Hannah studies Childcare. The girls met in September 2013 when they were both doing Childcare together. One afternoon, Lauren noticed that Hannah was sat by herself and decided to speak to her. From that day on, they have both been inseparable. Lauren had also went on and made new friends in the new Course she was doing. She made a really good friend named Jess. She could tell her everything and knew she was always there for her. There were others she was close to as well, mainly her other best friends, Connor, Tom and Josh.

It was nearing the end of the day and Lauren waited outside Hannah's classroom for her to finish. She heard the sound of the teacher telling everyone to pack up their stuff. She got her phone out of her bag and started scrolling through her Facebook while she was waiting. Just as she was flicking through each post, she found one in particular. A band at the College were looking for a lead vocalist and guitarist. The post read "Hi all, we are looking for a brand new member in our band. We are looking for another girl who can play guitar and enjoys singing! Inbox me for details!" They didn't have a name yet but were going to choose when they have found a fourth member. Lauren enjoyed singing and playing guitar, so decided to message the person who was asking. Her name was Niamh.

Lauren's Message: Hi Niamh. I saw your post about needing another band member and am aware that you go to the College. I can play guitar and I also enjoy singing so was wondering if it would be possible for me to speak to you in person? Thank You!

Lauren nervously sent the message and waited for a reply to come through. She heard a small two voices appear from her left just as she was reading her message over and over. "Hi!" It was Hannah and their other friend Jayde. She was just a day older than Lauren.
The girls walked through the corridor before Jayde said goodbye to Hannah and Lauren and went to the bus stop. Lauren got to her car and opened it to put all her stuff in. Hannah got into the passenger side. Just before Lauren opened her car door she heard her phone ping. It was a message from Niamh that read "Hi Lauren, would it be possible for you to come and speak to Me, Ryan and Isaac now for 5 minutes?" Lauren replied saying she would meet them in the bottom canteen in the College.
"Hannah, I'll be about 10 minutes just have to go and sort something out, play a game on my phone while I'm gone" She said after handing her phone over to Hannah. She headed down to the Canteen and met Niamh, Ryan and Isaac. "Hi guys" Lauren said, sitting down next to her good looking fellow, vocalist and guitarist, Isaac. He was her type in every way, he was gorgeous, and had blonde hair which was in a quiff and blue eyes. Niamh got talking and explained the details which Lauren took in. She signed a small piece of paper which was the contract. "Congratulations, Lauren! You're officially in our band! We'll talk more on Facebook and meet up in College next week to talk about the name of the band and have a practice together! We also have a concert coming up soon too!" Lauren walked away with a huge smile on her face. She jumped into her car and Hannah gave Lauren her phone back. "So what was that all about then?" Hannah asked Lauren as she turned the keys in the ignition and put her car into gear and started turning the wheel. "I'll tell you when we get home, but let's just say you may get to meet 5 Seconds of Summer within the next year. 5 Seconds of Summer were Hannah and Lauren's favourite band. "OMG!" Hannah started screaming as she put her hand over her mouth.
All the way until Lauren got back to her house Hannah couldn't stop talking about how she couldn't wait to meet 5 Second of Summer.
Lauren pulled up in her driveway and walked into her house, neither of her parents were home so she just went straight upstairs. Hannah sat down whilst Lauren began explaining what was going to be happening in the next few weeks.
"So I've just been offered a place as the lead vocalist and guitarist in a band with two guys and another girl"
