She woke up gasping for air like she was drowning, her eyebrows were scrunched together in distress, and her eyes stayed closed as she forced herself to draw in a big deep breath, and slowly let it out. Mikayla felt someone wipe the tears off her cheeks, "Mikayla, open your eyes, it's ok I'm here." Fred's voice was so gentle and vuneralable, Mikayla slowly opened her eyes to see she was in well lit room, she read the golden plate on the open door, 'Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot.' Mikayla blinked her eyes into focus, her eyes' gaze fell to her hands avoiding the worried expression on everyone's face as she took in more deep breaths.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you all." Mikayla's voice was small as she apologised refusing to look up from her hand, Fred cupped her face and forcing the blonde to look into his eyes. She watched as his eyes searched her face for any indication that she wasn't ok, Mikayla couldn't stop her cheeks from blushing under Fred's touch and eyes. "Fred it's passed, give her space." Mikayla followed the hand that pulled Fred away from her to see a worried looking Lupin, Mikayla cleared her throat out of embarrassment of her episode, as she went to get off the ground, Ron rushed to her side to help her off the ground since she could use her right hand to pull herself up, "thanks." Mikayla whispered, Ron didn't respond, he just held the blonde's waist letting her become stable on her own two feet, before slowly letting her go. "Sorry." Mikayla shook her head to clear her mind, as Avery pulled her into a hug, "you scared the hell out of me." Mikayla felt her heart faultier at Avery's word, "sorry, I didn't mean to." Mikayla apologised for the third time, "oh for the love of Merlin, stop apologising it's not your fault." George told the blonde as he joined the hug, and soon the hug involved all the Weasleys. "Right let's get you two settled into your seats." Charlie rests his hands on each of the girl's shoulder, ushering towards the courtroom 10.

The room was square with benches rising in levels along each wall. It was made by black stone and lit by torches. The room held at least 200 people, including 50 at the far wall which had the highest rising benches. At least two doors led to the room, one opposite the high benches which led to the dungeons outside, and one in the corner from which the accused was brought in. In the centre of the room was a chair for the defendant, with chains on the armrests that would bind down whoever sat in it. Fergal hadn't been brought in just yet, the group sixteen found somewhere to sit as Dumbledore left to take his seat as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. Mikayla took her seat in-between Tonks and Avery, her leg bounced in worry and suspense of the actual trial, knowing Fergal will surprise the prosector and throw them off. The doors opened once everyone was seated, in walked Fergal with two Auror's with a tight grip on him, another Ministry official strapped him into the chains to bind him to the chair.

"Fergal O'Brien, you have been accused of being a Death Eater and abusing children that were formally in your care. How do you plead?" Mikayla was watching Fergal as he scanned the courtroom, his eyes stopping on Avery and a smile grew on his face, "guilty." Mikayla's hand sprung to hold Avery's hand and rubbing circles against the brunette's hand. There was a rumble throughout the courtroom of people whispering to each other, "right, shall we begin with displaying the evidence we have against you?" Dumbledore asks a rhetorical question, before being handed a page of parchment. "Well you were arrested at the scene of a murder and a break-in of the Department of Mysteries, you were found under the body-binding and babbling curses, performed by Mikayla Black, at the scene of the crimes, do you have any argument against this evidence?" Fergal's eyes switched from Avery to Mikayla, a sickening smile grew on his face, "I should've killed her whilst her back was turned." There was another rumble of whispers at his comment, whilst Mikayla just raised a eyebrow as to say 'bring it'.

"Moving on, we will now show the court your crimes through the memories of Mikayla Black and Avery O'Brien in chronological order." Mikayla looked down at the ground not sure if she's stable enough to watch her memories, especially after her PTSD attack earlier. "Come with me to the bathroom?" Avery questions, Mikayla agrees to go, Moody follows the two girls out of the courtroom. "I'm your security detail remember, I'll wait outside for the both of ya." He tells the girls as they reach the bathroom on Level 10. The two girls rushed inside, "I don't actually need to go, I just couldn't be in there, reliving all those horrible times." Mikayla chuckled lightly at her sister's honesty, "thank Merlin, because I was looking for an out." Avery sent her sister a knowing smile.

"We shouldn't take too long to return or we'll worry everyone." Mikayla plans as she looked at herself in the mirror, taking in every detail of her appearance. Mikayla turned on the tap, cupping her hands allowing water to gather in her palms before throwing the water up and splashing it against her face, she repeated this three times. Mikayla grabs some tissue, dabbing her skin dry with it as Avery mimics her actions with the water. "That feels so refreshing." Avery admits as Mikayla hands her over some tissue, "it's like washing off your worries." Mikayla smiled sadly, looking towards the door, and then back at Avery, "you know, we can do this, we can prove to him that he has no control over us anymore. That what he did to us doesn't define us." Avery looked at Mikayla confused, asking her sister how they were going to do that, "he thinks we're cowards for not taking the stand and speaking, I say screw him and let's get our revenge with our words." Avery thought about Mikayla's preposition before nodding at the blonde, "ok." The two girls link arms and leave the bathroom with their heads held high, Moody ushered them back to their seats, Mikayla's jaw clenched at the sight of Fergal hurting Avery last Christmas, she drew in a shaky breath as she sees her sister crying in the memory. The two young girls cuddled into one another, giving one another comfort with reassuring squeezes and smiles.
