~The Story Behind This Story~Ryce
“Oppa.”
“Chaena, eat.”
“No. Not until Eris writes again.”
“Please, Chaena..”
“NO!!” she threw everything away including the food.
No. My sister is not a child anymore. She’s already 24 and yet she’s acting like a child. She has a mental disease and it was triggered after she found out that her favorite writer has stopped writing officially. Since then, she has been confined here in the hospital as the doctor advised.
It’s still fresh from my memory and I doubt I can ever forget it. The pool of blood I found on her bedroom floor when I came home, the night she heard of Eris’ retirement. I thought I’m gonna lose her right at that time.
And here I am, trying to get her to eat because she hasn’t eaten anything at all. This is another problem, it’s not only her mental health, but also her physical health that was affected by the situation. She can’t accept the fact that she won’t be able to read any more stories from Eris that she refused to eat or even sleep. We were able to have a way about her sleeping but with eating, it’s a very hard task.
The scene is always like this. I bring food to her, each time, a different one. Sweets, beef, vegetable, fruits, rice cakes, anything. I probably brought all the kinds of food for her yet she keeps on throwing it away right in front of me. I tried to stop her once but she just throw a fit and throw everything she’ll get a hold of instead. It’s getting worse every time and I can’t help but get worried. I don’t know what to do anymore. I tried different ways to help her and yet, it feels that my sister shut the world out tightly, including me.
“I’ll come back again.” I stood up from the bedside chair and clean up the mess then I walked out of the hospital room and sighed heavily. “Chaena, what do I have to do to help you?” I whispered feeling hopeless, but I still wished even just her heart will hear it ‘cause I feel like there’s no one who can answer that question. It’s a question without an answer.
I want to see her smile again and be able to talk to her normally again.
“Oppa, when are we going to the mall??”
I remember her eager smile whenever she ask something from me. Something I don’t see now ever since the news.
When?
