Chapter 1 - A Mysterious Encouter

The shatter dome in Hong Kong was as busy as ever. Raleigh and Mako were completing their jager training with Gypsy Danger. The pair successfully conducted the neuro-handshake procedure on multiple occasions and they were also successful with performing basic manoeuvres with Gypsy Danger. Marshal Stacker Pentecost, Tendo Choi and Hercules Hansen were impressed with the results. After the incident where Mako almost fired a fully charged plasma shot into the LOCCENT control room, she has been listening to Raleigh for advice on how to stay focused in the sequence. Meanwhile, Striker Eureka, Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon were standing idle. Their pilots were either training or relaxing. Newton and Hermann were in their labs, theorizing when the next Kaiju attack is going to happen. They predict it will be a double event, most likely two category four Kaiju. They had a better understanding of how the Kaiju operated, thanks to Newton drifting with a kaiju brain. They learnt that the Kaiju were being bred by a mysterious race which was called 'The Siren' and their purpose is to colonize worlds and dimensions. It was still unclear to the PPDC who are the Sirens and their motive. The next day passed and Marshall Pentecost decided that Gyspy Danger was fully operational for combat. This was great news for Raleigh and Mako and the rest of the PPDC. They had another jager to the frontlines and Gypsy Danger was piloted by a veteran pilot and a promising recruit. Tendo Choi returned from the cafeteria with three cups of coffee and a doughnut in his mouth because he had his hands full. He walked over to his station but LOCCENT announced something shocking.

"Movement in the breech. Double event."

Tendo Choi looked worried at the scanners and then he looked towards the screen where it clearly showed two signatures.

"Two signatures. Dilation indication: Category four and Category unknown."

"Oh..." Tendo Choi muttered.

The shatterdome went into cod red as the jager pilots and mechanics rushed into the LOCCENT control room. The jager pilots were already prepped in their suits and they were ready to be deployed.

"Breach was exposed at twenty-three-hundred hours. We have two signatures, one is category four codename: Leatherback. The second signature is unknown at this time. They'll reach Hong Kong within the hour" Tendo Choi announced.

"Evacuate the city, shut down the bridges, I want every single civilian in a refuge right now!" Marshal Pentecost ordered.

"I want all jagers to man the frontline but stay on the miracle mile, we need to be prepared for whatever the unknown signature is. Understood?"

"Yes sir!"

"All right let's go!"

The roofs the operational launch bays opened and the helicopters hooked the jagers to transport them towards the frontline. The sheer size of the jagers dwarfed almost every structure in the area. The helicopters then transported the jagers to the drop zone a few minutes later.

"Cherno Alpha reaching target zone. Disengaging transport." Sasha Kaidnonovsky said.

Sasha then toggled the release button and then both pilots bent their legs to absorb the fall. Cherno Alpha dropped into the harbour, making a very big splash. Then Cherno Alpha rose into a standing position.

"Cherno Alpha in position miracle mile," Sasha said. "Cherno Alpha holding the coastline. Beacon is on." Sasha said.

Crimson Typhoon, Striker Eureka and Gyspy Danger all arrived in the drop point seconds later. Cherno Alpha then readied her tesla fists and started walking forward.

"LOCCENT, Striker's got the ball and we're on the roll," Chuck said.

"LOCCENT, at position and awaiting orders," Hercules said.
