Chapter 9

Deacon's pov
Edgar,Allen,and I all sneaked into a cave.a girl and a little boy were asleep,"more victims..."Allen whispered.i gulped,I felt bad for them.as we walked through a tunnel I nearly screamed when I saw three guys upside down sleeping on a pole,Edgar luckily covered my mouth."Marko isn't with them."Allen pointed out to Edgar as he slowly uncovered my mouth,"Where's my brother?"I whispered asked."we don't know,but we'll find him:hopefully it's not too late."Edgar said,i gulped.we continued to walked down some tunnels,we then entered a room with a bed.i gasped when I saw Marko and Ted,"oh no....we're too late."I whispered when i saw the bite mark on Ted's shoulder.

I fell to my knees and sobbed quietly,Edgar put his hand on my shoulder.i looked at him and sniffed,"you know what must be done."he said.i sniffed again and looked at Allen who was holding a wooden stake,i shakily took it from him.i stood up and slowly walked towards Ted's sleeping body,Marko's arms were wrapped around him.tears continued to flow down my face,I shakily held up the stake."goodbye Ted...I'll miss you a lot...I know I never said this but...I love you Ted,you're the best brother ever...."I whispered,I squeezed my eyes shut."Well,what are you waiting for?"Edgar asked,"Do it."Allen said.i opened my eyes,i sighed and fell to my knees."I can't do it fellas,"I admitted to them,"he's my brother!"I added.
