The Last Of Them

Prologue

It was a normal day on Venus.  Yumay Xoxxow was gazing up into the galaxy, the stars reflecting on her fire eyes.

Her best friend, Ituxi, was sitting beside her, on the soft glowing blue grass, rambling on about some boy. But Yumay wasn't listening. Instead her mind was wondering off to her mom. She announced that she was pregnant the week before to all of Venus.

They were all ecstatic and congratulating her, and helping her when they caught her out in the shops.

Her mom was really the most sweetest person anyone has ever met. She wasn't proud or arrogant. She was humble and even sometimes forgot she was the queen. She laughed loudly like no one was around, but still had this grace about her.

Yumay looked just like her. Her hair and short stature along with her intelligence. Except her moms eyes were a glowing blue. Yumay inherited her dads eyes.

Yumay had a little bit of a temper. She never let anyone order her around, not even her parents. She did listen to them and respected them but never let them pass a certain boundary everyone has.

Venus was very different from other planets. Everyone got along, mostly. No one hated the caring queen and protective king, they loved them. They loved the princess as well. She loved the history of Venus and her culture. She relied on their powers more than anything. Yumay was the only who had the power to travel through time and space.

Say she was on one side of the room, and in a snap she could be on the other side. While she used her powers her hands would glow blue, a portal would appear and then she was gone. It all happened in a split second that it often confused people.

She never tried to time travel though, or travel to a far away place.

One thing her parents never agreed with was Yumay's interest with earth. She has learned English along with many other languages. She has studied their history, science, math, and how their money currency works.

"Yumay!" A voice snapped her from her thoughts, her heard snapping to her friends annoyed face. Her purple eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"Sorry, Ituxi, I was just wondering about my little brother or sister." She smiles apologetically at her, while the others eyes lit up.

"I hope it's a little girl. We could play dress up, and do her hair, and shop with her!" Ituxi squeals falling back into the grass, her blue hair mixing with the colored grass.

"I hope it's a boy." Yumay shrugs and lays beside her friend.

"Why?" She looks over at the princess with furrowed brows.

"Hmm, well, I have always wanted a little brother since I was a kid," Ituxi props herself on her elbow, long hair falling over her shoulder before she brushed it back. "Oh yeah, I remember you whining about it all the time." She giggles when the other playfully hits her shoulder.

"I did not whine!" She protests but giggles nonetheless.

The other hums, her purple eyes trailing to her peach colored lips, before trailing back up to the fire eyes.

"Ituxi..." she mumbles under her breathe before she gets cut off with a kiss on her lips.

It was quite common for the two to kiss. They didn't have feelings for each other but it was a way to show gratitude or love. They used to always do this when they were younger. Share innocent kisses as children to show they were thankful when the other would share their toys.

Ituxi pulled back with a smile before rolling back over and they both get lost in the shining sky.

But something catches Yumay's attention. It was a bright ball barreling towards them.

"Hey, what's that?" She asks panicked, sitting up and grabbing her friend with her.

"Huh? Oh my god! Yumay lets go!" She yells frantically standing up and they both start running, only getting a few feet before the ball of light hit the ground sending them flying a few feet away.

Yumay's ears ring, the sounds of more explosions muffled. She sits up confused, her eyes looking around for Ituxi. She spots her body laying on the ground a few feet away from her and stumbles over to her. Her head pounds and her surroundings spin making her stomach churn uncomfortably but she manages to fall to her knees beside her friend.

"Ituxi!" She yells, another explosion sounding in the distance and screams of terror but she ignores them. "Ituxi wake up!" She shakes her body, but she doesn't move. She doesn't speak, her eyes are closed and only then does Yumay roll her over from her stomach only to let out a sob of terror.

Right in the middle is her stomach. A huge hole is seen. Blood seeping out and over the ground.

"Ituxi, please!" Yumay holds her head up, placing it on her knees and while sobs over the body.

"Y-Yumay.." a weak voice comes from below her. She looks down at her friend with a gasp, her hand hold her cheek.

"I'm right here! I'm here, Ituxi! I'll help you okay? You'll be fine." She sobs again, her face showing nothing but pain.

The girl under her smiles weakly, her bloody hand coming up to wipe her tears away only smearing them with blood. Explosions and screaming didn't seem to exist to them at the moment.

"Yumay, I love you.." she gasps out, "please run, save yourself."

"No! No! I'll get us out of here okay? You'll be fine!" She cries but the purple eyes girl only shakes her head.

"I- I won't make it.." her breathing becomes choppy, "I love you.."

"I love you too, please don't leave me! Please!" She rests her head on the others and watches as the girl only smiles and the life was drained from her purple eyes as they look off into the distance. Her hand falling from her cheek.

"No! Please!" Yumay sobs and shakes her body.

"Please Ituxi! No!" She rocks her body, sobs and whimpers leaving her mouth.

Suddenly hands wrap around her shoulders and try to drag her off but she just screams 'no' over and over while the two drags her away.

"Momma! Poppa!" She cries once she sees her mom and dad, instantly engulfing them in a hug.

"Baby, you have to go okay? Go now." And she was being pushed into a pod.

"No! Come with me!" She cries in despair, her dad only smiling at her with tears in his fire eyes. She reaches her hand out to them, begging them to come with her.

He kisses her forehead, and hugs her once more along with her mom as they all chant 'I love you's' to one another.

The parents step back, her fathers arm wrapped around her mothers waist and her mother shuts the pod door, locking it closed. People of running and screaming, others crouched over dead bodies, and fire was seen behind the couple. It was chaos. It was so sudden.

"No!" Yumay bangs on the glass, her voice muffled from the outside while her parents cry and wave to her, mouthing 'I love you.' Before the pod launches into the air, while Yumay cries and screams her heart out.

When she's safe enough away, the planet blows up. It reflects in her teary eyes as she freezes before screaming again.

"No!"

But it was too late.

Her people, her parents, friend, her unborn sibling, and planet was gone.

And she was the last one left.
