Right as the final person leaves, my phone rings. My entire mood is lifted when I see the name on the screen.

"Aria."

"Autumn, you little devil."

I grin, a secret only I was aware of hidden in the smile.

"Happy birthday, headass."

My smile grows. "Thanks, Dude. It's been forever, how have you been?"

A dramatic sigh can be heard over the line. "Sorry, Babe. I've been super busy recently. It really does suck that there's such a massive time difference."

"Aria climbing those charts."

She laughs over the line. "Grammy?"

"Woah there, Buddy. You aren't that popular yet."

Both of us giggle.

"Autumn, what about you? How have you been?"

I rub my ear with a smile. "I've been great. Oh, you know how we ran into that idol like a month ago? Yeah, we're like kind of friends now."

Aria goes silent before she explodes. "What? You're friends with an idol? And not just any idol. An idol part of the largest group in the world?"

My smile grows. "Yeah. Crazy, right?"

"Autumn, this is beyond crazy! Can you hook me up with one of the guys?"

I laugh. "Aria, you have to learn how to speak Korean first."

"If it's a chance to meet a good looking, talented, rich man, then sure I'll learn Korean."

I grin. When the door opens I turn around and wave to Jay. "Hey, I'll call you later, okay? I have to go."

"What are you talking about, Dude? We've been talking for only ten minutes. What happened to those all-nighters we pulled?"

I smile. "Sorry, Aria. Next time, okay?"

Although both her and I know that by now, both of us had changed from the teenagers that could spend an entire day over the phone.

"Okay, Babe. I'll talk to you later."

We kiss over the phone before I hang up.

"Was that Aria?" Jay asks.

I nod. "Interested?"

His expression shifts as he wiggles his eyebrows up and down. "A hot, foreign woman? How could I say no?"

I laugh. "Yeah, I'll make sure that doesn't happen within my lifetime."

We walk out of the studio once I've gathered my things, done with another day. "Have you hung out with Hoseok recently?" I ask.

Jay pulls out of the parking lot and onto the road. "No, why?"

I shrug and look out the window. "Just curious."

We stay silent for a few moments before he breaks. "Okay, what is going on between you two?"

I look over at him. "What do you mean?"

Jay rolls his eyes. "Don't play dumb, Autumn. You guys have only interacted twice and there's clearly something in the air."

I rub my ear. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Then why are you nervous?"

I continue to glare at him while he keeps his gaze on the road. "I'm not nervous."
