Today was officially my first day of school and I was absolutely not excited.

It was 7:00 in the morning and I was fully clothed and my hair was done for the most part. I was currently eating breakfast, enjoying SpongeBob on my couch, like a boss. Once I finished my oatmeal with berries, which by the way satisfied my tastebuds quite greatly, I decided to check the time, just to assume if Marlene was going to pick me up or not, keeping in mind the incident that occurred the other day.

It was 7:25 and I wasn't making any progress in hope, but thank the heavens for Jc's soul. He came fully dressed... very handsome may I add on, and with car keys in one hand just 5 minutes after my mental debate.

"You ready?" he smiled.

"Well good morning to you too!" I chirped "Aren't you awfully dressed up for taking me to school."

"Well, I want everyone to think I'm worthy of you" he smirked.

"Think?" that part of his statement really took me off guard.

"Yeah" he answered in a low voice.

"Ok... so you're taking me to school?" I tried transitioning from the awkward tension in the room.

"Yes I am, beautiful" he cheekily smiled, as he put out his elbow.

"Let me go get my bag first" I pointed out, before running upstairs and getting my studded floral backpack. "Ok, I'm ready."

"Shall we?" he put out his elbow again, as I link my arm around it.

"We shall" I smiled.

Jc really isn't as bad as I thought he would be. He hasn't done me wrong and is a complete sweetheart. I was wrong about him... and for the first time in my life I was happy I was wrong.

"Oh hell yeah! This is my jam!" Jc suddenly cheered, as he raised the volume to a pretty old song. "Haven't heard this in a long time!"

"This song though?" I looked at him as if he were insane.

"You know this song?" he raised an eyebrow.

"So... a girl can't like this type of music? That is so sexist" I scoffed.

"No, I meant- I just didn't know ok!" he sighed not knowing how to respond.

"I'm kidding" I giggled.

"Let me enjoy my song" he rolled his eyes, playfully.

After a few seconds I decided to speak up "You know, you were the reason I found this song."

"Really, how?" he looked confused, still focusing on the road.

"I saw a video with your little siblings dancing in public" I smirked.

"Oh" his face flushed a scarlet tone "NEVER speak of that, please."

"I promised" I lightly laughed, as I noticed we were driving into the school grounds, I sighed.

"What's wrong? You don't like school?" he questioned.

"No, it's just I don't want to see bullies and the idiot and I- I just don't wanna deal" I explained.

"Oh," he paused, as the car came to a stop "well here you are, I promise I'll be here when you get out. Try to have fun."

"Thank you" I smiled gracefully, as I turned to the backseat to get my backpack.

"Can I have a kiss, though?" he pouted.

"Of course" I smiled as I leaned in and to my surprise he was very needy. It's like he has mean longing for it for a while. "Jc... I have to go" I muttered, as he let go.

"Sorry, sorry. Have fun!" he lastly exclaimed, as I exited the car.

"That's impossible, I'm entering the gates of hell" I glared, as I closed the door.

'You're cute' he mouthed, through the window, also followed by a wink.

I turned myself and started walking, as I rolled my eyes at his child-like attitude. To my surprised, before I could even step foot on the sidewalk of the school, I got a call.

"Hello?" I answered.

"MELISSA COME OUTSIDE! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!" she yelled through the phone.

"Excuse me?"

"Melissa. I'm at youre house. Come outside." she slowed down, with gritted teeth.

"Um... I'm at school" I slowly responded.

"WHAT THE HELL?! HOW?!" she was beyond upset with me.

"Well, I didn't know if you were gonna pick me up or not, how was I supposed to know?"

"WE ALWAYS GO TO SCHOOL TOGETHER!" she retorted.

"Sorry" I apologized.

"Ugh, whatever. Now I'm late, thanks" she replied sarcastically, as she hung up.

I don't think this is gonna be a very good first day.

Just as if it was on cue I get an annoying call from the douche himself.

"Melissa?" he called from behind, as I started walking, this time a bit quicker than usual. "I know you hear me."

"I know, but I choose to ignore it" I rolled my eyes, as I kept walking, I felt him run and turn me around. "Listen, I need to find my classes, because unlike yourself I didn't come to orientation. So, if you'd just leave me alone I'll be on my way."

"No. I can't, you have to listen to me." he demanded.

"I'm not your dog" I glared, as I started looking for my classes. Sadly, he followed behind.

"I'm not gonna leave you alone, until you listen to me." he stated.

"Jacob, please leave me alone" I begged, this time my voice vague.

"No, Melissa" this time his voice, increasing in demand.

"Leave her alone" a familiar voice spoke up. I turned around, as I saw my adorable old friend, Selena.

"Whatever, let me know when you're alone" Jacob rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I won't" I shook my head, as his presence left our view. I turned my head towards Selena and ran towards her.

"Oh my God! Girl, how was your summer, I missed you so much!" I exclaimed, as I attacked her in a hug.

"Amazing, we actually went to Vancouver to visit family." she flashed her smile. I loved her smile so much, it was the most heartwarming thing!

"That's awesome! We've got a lot to catch up on, my summer was CRAZY!" I emphasized.

"Really-" before she could continue her sentence, the bell rang.

"What class do you have right now?" I asked.

"Uhhhh..." she checked her schedule "English Honors, you?"

"Same. Oh my God, yay! We have a class together!" I cheered, as we made our way to class.

Maybe this day won't be so bad.
