In an te old house on the hill surround by growing bushes and grass as tall as my knee, lived and old man with an old story. A story he had told to only those he knew would believe. A story about a boy that encounters quite the find after he moves for a better life while his father is fighting in the war.
And I wish to tell it to you as it was told to me but before i do there is one thing I must ask you, do you Believe in magic?

It was a cold a rainy day in July my mother was just finishing packing up the car, we was moving out of the city I didn't want to but mother said it wasn't safe for us anymore, my older sister Ann agreed. She wasn't much older but she helped mother look after us as my farther was away fighting in the war he'd been gone a while now and mother feared the worst.

"Come on Johnathan time to go" Ann beckoned " okay okay I'm coming" I replied. We set off up the dirt roads and around tight bends until the city wasn't even in view it seemed we was driving for hours all the while my mother and Ann speaking of the new house in the country and how nice it would be.

As they chatted and giggled away I laid my head on the cold metal door and let my mind wonder as I fell more and more into a deep sleep I Began to dream

As they chatted and giggled away I laid my head on the cold metal door and let my mind wonder as I fell more and more into a deep sleep I Began to dream. I dreamt of farther and how much I miss him, I dreamt that he came home and I got to run into his arms again. Just as i was dreaming of what had been and what could be the car jumped and clacked waking me up the windows were covered in dust from dirt roads. My mother smiled at me from the front seat and says "we're hear" she and Ann smile and open there doors I quickly unbuckle by seatbelt and unlock the door and jump out to see and old cottage surrounded by nothing but land.

"This?" I said as I looked at them both in confusion "this is it?". "Yes John" my mother sighed "now come on help me get the bags" "yes mother" I replied it wasn't at all like I'd dreamed the walls where broken and uneven as if they was melting in the sun the windows where cracked and the pair chipped as if there where the crying eyes of an old widow but for now..it's home.
