Y/n couldn't wait for their first day as a sidekick, you were so excited to be on the front line and shape your skills. Once you arrived to the agency everyone was already assigned to a pro hero, however you got assigned to Hawks {even though many have told you to make sure you don't get partnered with him, because hes a loose cannon, annoying and self-centered. He will make you not want to be a hero anymore} Y/n try to get it switch with another hero, unfortunately you were unable to convince any of the other heroes to take you instead. Y/n decide to go along with it until you find a reason otherwise. Hawks left you a note on you desk to meet him at the water fountain in the center of the park and to remember to suit up. You took a deep breathe, suit up and headed for the park. Hawks was in the middle of a crowd of people, taking picture, signing stuff, and giving advice. You stood outside of the crowd in a slick black body suit, thigh high fish net like stocking, high top sneakers, and hero gear. You wanted to call out to him, but you felt as if he wouldn't hear you over the crowd. "Hawks...." You said softly under your breathe as you face away from him. Hawks turned his head as if you yelled his name over the crowd, while making his way to you. He rests his arm around your shoulder and lean close to your ear "Yes.... Kid, you called ?!" with a slick yet gentle smirk on his face. Y/n covers their mouth as they heard his voice echoing in their ear. Your face turns red as you try to calm down, you turn to face Hawks "we need to get patrol the city remember sir..." you reply with you voice a bit shaky. Hawks look at you up and down with a smirk before chuckling a bit and started to walk out of the park " Kid... your right, lets get going " he waved to the crowd as he kept walking towards the park exit. You follow behind him, until you catch up with him. You both spent the whole shift patrolling the city and getting to know each other. From what you got he wasn't really a bad guy, just a misunderstood one. He told you everything from his secret friendship with Dabi, to his mentor Endeavor {how he loves to get on his nerves for no reason at all}. He even told you his fav food and why he started the agency, and in the short time you start to see him as a good guy not the monster you heard. At the end of the shift he asked you out for drinks and dinner at western style restaurant. You without skipping a beat said yes and gave him your number so he could pick you up. You raced home and got dressed up wearing a cute red dress with gold accessories, and even curled your hair because you remembered him telling you he thinks you would look so good with curls. At 8 pm you got a text from him saying hes outside, but when you walked out there you didn't see him. You noticed a feather on the ground, once you picked it up, he appeared in front of you suddenly. You jumped a bit and punch his arm "Hehe sorry kid I just wanted...." He stops in made sentence as he admires how you glowed in the night sky. "What do I have something one me, do I look that bad......" you cover your face in embarrassment. "No baby bird you look gorgeous....eh... I mean kid" hawks start to blush as he stutters on his words. "Ready to go out with helpless handsome soul of a man" he reaches out his hand for you to grab. Once you do he pulls you close and fly into the night until you reach the restaurant. ~~~~~~~
