Faster. Faster. Faster.
I pushed my legs to move faster as I tried to get away from him. Maybe if I can make it deep it enough I can wait him out and escape in the morning. It doesn't matter I have to do I'd rather die than go back to him. His heavy boots crunches along behind me trying to catch up to me.

Keep moving. Keep moving. Keep moving.
As long as I keep moving maybe he will become tired and give up the chase, but how long can I keep this up? My lungs are screaming for oxygen and I know my body can't go on like this much more. Maybe I can hide and he will leave. Looking around I frantically searched for a bush or a tree I could behind. Bingo. I found one. Rushing towards the tree large enough to hide two people I quickly ran behind it and ducked under its low hanging branches.

My head pounded with adrenaline drowning out every sound except for the crunch of his boots. Each beat synchronized with his steps. Boom. Boom. Boom. It sound ominously hung in the air.

"Do you really think I would stop chasing you? Do you really think I am going to let you go?"

I bite my lip to keep my sobs inside as tears and sweat poured down my face. His footsteps approached the tree I was hiding behind.
Boom. Boom. Boom. Then silence. I dared not move a muscle. I dared not breathe. A cold chill ran through my body as I thought about being dragged back. No, if I took me book I would not survive. Nobody knows what he does and whoever knew is dead. A deathly silence hung in the hair. The seconds ticked by...
