Author note: Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that in this first chapter we will only be meeting Huening Kai. The rest of the members will be introduced later on. I'm also just experimenting with writing this fan fiction to see if it works out or not. Thank you and enjoy.

Ever since I was a small girl I loved to sing, to fill my lungs with air and create sound. Every time I did I felt myself come alive, almost like a current of electricity washing over me. Those around me always listened to me in a mesmerized manor.

"Bada, your voice is just astounding! Just like your mother." My grandmother would always listen to me sing at least once a day. She would always say that it made her feel younger. "Your voice is so refreshing my darling. It saddens me that you can't share it with others."

Right. I couldn't share it with others. Mother would always tell me that singing wasn't allowed outside of the house. I would always question her about the reason, but to no avail she would avoid answering and leave me in the dark.

Once I managed to get something out of her after hours of questions, but it wasn't what I expected.

"Bada, stop questioning me about it." Mother would say as she rubbed her temples. "It's just dangerous alright? I can't say more than that. It's better for you to just remain as you are. "

"Dangerous? How can singing be dangerous!?" I would yell at her. Frustrated with the fact that she wouldn't elaborate.

"It just is. When you're older I'll tell you. I just really want you to enjoy your childhood alright?"

I loved my mother, but it didn't stop me from wanting to sing. It became such a strong feeling that by the time I had reached my teen years I had decided I wanted to be a singer. I hadn't told my mother that I was planning on auditioning for entertainment company within a week. Also I was lucky enough to have a classmate that was actually a trainee in a company. He transferred to my class about 4 months ago and happened to get the empty seat next to me.

I still remember remember clearly how he walked in and he was really tall, taller than most of the boys in our class. He looked to be of mixed race which didn't bother me at all. If anything it made him more handsome.

"Hello my name is Kai Kamal Huening. You guys can also just call me Huening Kai." He said to the class and bowed. Afterword the teacher instructed him to sit. As soon as he sat down I offered to share my textbook. To which he agreed and after class ended I managed to muster up the courage to talk to him.

"So Kai... I'm Nam Bada. Do you want to have lunch with me at the rooftop by any chance?" I looked at his expression but he didn't seem annoyed at all. It looked like he was relieved.

"Sure! That would be great." We both stood up with our lunches and headed to the roof.

"Why did you transfer here? If you don't mind me asking." I asked after we reached the roof and settled down.

"My father recently started a new job around this area so it was more convenient for him to move us all here. It's nice to meet you by the way. I was slightly worried about not making friends. Especially because I stand out quite a bit." He passed his hand through his hair.

"You don't stand out in a bad way though." I said sheepishly. "Your eyes are really pretty. There is something about them. They are... unique."

He let out a laugh. But gosh wow, it was totally different laugh. A contagious laugh one might say. "Really? My eyes are one of my insecurities, but when you say it like that it makes me feel better." He smiled brightly.
