At Heath's house

"Wake up Heath, Nationals rehearsals start today" Heath's dad exclaimed.
"Yeah I know but I'm just the alternate" He mumbled tiredly
"Heath-Cliff, I may be someone who knows nothing about dance and bought a dance studio, but after the alternate auditions yesterday me and Emily knew it had to be you as the alternate"
"Fine" Heath said getting out of bed "on one condition, no one apart from Emily and anyone I tell can know about you being my dad"
"Okay" Nick said

Nicks perspective

Heath just said he didn't want anyone to know I'm his dad and to be perfectly honest if I was in his shoes I wouldn't want anyone knowing either. I'm not sure the exact reason but I think it's along the lines of 'special treatment' I don't get to choose the alternate Emily did for that exact reason.

Heath's perspective

I feel a bit bad saying that I don't want anyone to know Nick is my dad but I don't want people thinking I can get special treatment. How could I, my dad knows nothing about dance he can't even tell the difference between first and second position. I mean why did he buy a dance studio in the first place.

That was a bit harsh. I'm partly happy he ownes the studio because I never got to see him he was hosting a dance tv show and I was at the Next Step I didn't see him for 6 months so it will be nice having him around.

I get into my dance clothes pack my bag including my emergency supplies bag, what you never know when a zombie apocalypse is going to happen. I run downstairs grab a cereal bar and a orange, call to my dad that I'm ready and run to the car. 3 minutes later I run back after realising I had forgotten my shoes.

Time skip to arriving at the studio
Nick's perspective

I drop Heath off a couple of roads away from the studio and find a place to park, I then go through The Next Steep and see Heath sitting there. I smile as I walk past and head up to Studio A, 1 and the Locker Room to unlock them.

Heath's perspective

When I get to The Next Steep I order a orange juice and a blueberry muffin. Same as every morning. Unlike most people on a troupe I don't have a favourite drink from the juice bar I don't really know why so don't ask.

My dad walks past me and smiles I smile back as he heads to unlock the studio. I'm about to leave to practise a bit but then I see someone that looks familiar ordering at the counter. I then realise she's Izzy she was at the a,ternate audition Oswalds sister. I don't know why but I just go up to her and say hello.

Izzy's perspective

I'm ordering my juice at the counter when a boy comes up to me and says hello at first I'm confused about why he said it but I just said hi back to him. I grab my juice and start heading up to studio 1 for a b troupe rehearsal. The boy lingers behind and I ask if he's coming he then starts following me up to The Next Step.

We start talking about A troupe and B troupe and alternate auditions. He seems really nice I don't understand why Ozzyy hates Heath so much.

Heath's Perspective

When we reach the locker room me and Izzy say bye and arrange time meet up after rehearsal, she seems really nice in my brain I'm asking myself, Heath, are Ozzy and Izzy actually related cause they can't be.

I'm happy I came to the studio today I made a new kind of friend.
