All Sumire yearned for was friends, friends who can cover up the huge hole in her heart. Friends who will accept and love her despite being a supernatural. Friends that will make her feel like a normal person. That's all she longed for, yet the odds wasn't on her side. She may have met mitsuba and tsukasa and became friends with them but by the moment they fathomed that she was a supernatural being- their face scrunched up with disgust and horror. They loathed her existence and t'was enough to shatter her dreams and hope. That was enough to ignite something within her.

She couldn't help but to harken back to days just before the dilemma happened. Everything was just as usual- everyone was ignoring her presence and treating her like an outcast, she almost gave up the idea of friendship but that was until mitsuba unexpectedly approached her and befriended her. Plus! The fuchsia-haired lad was kind enough to introduce her to his childhood friend, tsukasa. All would've gone smoothly, she began to love them and treat them as her own brothers. However, on a fateful night- while everyone was fast asleep, the two lads decided to trespass her property.

There, she witnessed their horrified faces, it seems like were too lost in their thoughts, they hadn’t noticed something watching from the nearby shadows with gleaming curious eyes, watching their every move. As soon as they've read the document and realized she wasn't a living person, they immediately ran out of her property and never looked back.

It would've been fine with her if that was all, but boy was she wrong. A few days have passed and they broke in again, and what angered her more was that they kept on rummaging through her things, they even broke some of her favorite antique furnitures because of their clumsiness. Tho, she was ready to forgive them if they were to apologize and never come back to her house, and if they never go to a certain chamber that holds something she never wants anyone to discover...

The maiden turned her back at them, she didn't have the slightest idea on why they weren't able to see her, but as she took her third stride she heard a small familiar creak belonging to a certain door. Her head snapped to their direction, every step they took sounded like a pound to the ground, their heads scanned the room, the moment they opened the ebony door the eerie pressure and putrid smell surrounded the whole house.

Tsukasa's grip on the flash loosened, it was like the time stopped for them. The flashlight slowly fell and as soon as it hits the ground- the flashlight's glass made a shattering sounds.

Sumire's eyes widen and her lavender orbs turned crimson, they saw it. They saw her remains. She clenched her fist and pulled out the small dagger in her pockets, the maiden clutched on the dagger's hilt ready to pounce on them. She came closer and closer...

However, the two lad who had been staring at the ceiling until movement caught their eyes making them glance over nervously. Unsure if they’d actually seen something. Mitsuba figures he’d try an unlikely but plausible approach to find out, ‘‘𝐒-𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐞?’’

His small query went unanswered in the dusty silence of their former friend's room, but instead of getting relieved- it made them feel more unsafe. A moment of silence was heard until a quiet tune was being hummed from somewhere- and it was definitely not from them, as the voice actually had proper rhythm and pitch. Whoever it was, they were clearly familiar.

‘‘𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨.’’ The voice echoed all throughout the chamber, it was laced with wretchedness and disdain. The maiden's once serene voice was now filled with abhorrence, it didn't sound promising at all.

A mocking chuckle rang around the room, the lads both shuddered and desperately looked around cautiously, they still couldn’t find the source and it was really beginning to edge their paranoid thoughts.

‘‘𝐋-𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐨-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐚-’’ the raven-haired lad pulled the latter's arms but as they were about to go out the room- mitsuba stilled, turning on his heels, he couldn’t bring himself to speak or move from what he saw… utter disbelief, affright, and strangely enough, amazement held him silently cemented in place.

There, he finally saw Sumire- tightly clinging onto Tsukasa's back. Her eyes was nothing but hollow, staring straight at him while a huge grin was plastered on her face. Despite her clinging on Tsukasa's back, he didn't notice her or rather he didn't have a single idea she was there. Slowly, ever so slowly, her hands moved and reached out to the raven-haired lad's chin and head then snapped his neck.

‘‘𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧, 𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮-𝐤𝐮𝐧~’’ she said in a sing sang, the supernatural's head was distorted, the horrid image of her was enough to make him pass out but unfortunately his cells were wide awake, his heart was pounding throughout his ribcage. There was no way he could get out of her property alive, he knew that, so without a fight he squinted his eye and waited for her to kill him.

He dwelled in his position, trying to feel her movements but to no avail- everything around him was quiescent. Wondering what's happening, he slowly opened his right eye and took a peak, there he saw her face just inches away from his. ‘‘𝐖-𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰-𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫?! 𝐤-𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰!’’

A sudden shiver run down his spine as he felt her cold-boney hands softly caressing his cheeks, Mitsuba quivered under the maiden's touch. ‘‘𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞~’’ with that, he felt a sharp object slowly impaling him, the slow thrusting of the knife was unbearable.

The fuchsia-haired lad felt his energy sluggishly draining as the blood incessantly flowed. His pupils starts to dilate and his eyes getting heavy by every passing seconds, he was already unable to focus on his surroundings but before passing out, he felt something soft and warm damping on his cheeks.

‘‘𝐒𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭... 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫... 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝...’’ t'was the last thing he heard before everything went black.
