Draco's POV
After leaving the three alone in the room I went to the information desk and told the nurse that Fred Weasley was awake and needing his next check up. When I was done I kept walking around the hospital until I found a balcony outside of the cafeteria and the waiting rooms. Instead of watching people from above like last time, I started stargazing and just before I found "Lyra" I heard the doors open and close. I didn't want to know who it was but I had a feeling I knew who came to talk, it was silent after they walked a few feet towards me.
"I'd figured that you would be the one to come check on me." I said breaking the silence.
"Of course it would be me. Were you hoping to be someone else?" They said before walking to sit next to me.
"No, but I did want to be alone to-"
"What would you have to think about in this moment that you need to be alone?"
"A lot, Blaise!"
"Sorry. But would it be alright if I kept you company?"
"No, not really. How'd you know that I'd be out here and that there's something wrong?"
"Well, I was going to see what everyone was up to and I overheard you all in Fred's room. And the answer for the first question, are you serious right now...? You would always find an excuse to look up at the stars and the many views around you!"
"That's not true, I don't find excuses, I just enjoy stargazing every now and then! That's how my parents thought of my name before my father went crazy trying to befriend the Dark Lord and make him happy. Just like my crazy-possessive, Aunt Bella"
"I know but you can't keep looking for any sign where your father was ever kind to you... it'll drive you crazy. Don't you remember what your mother said?"
"Yeah I do, she said I won't be able to find anything unless I stop looking for the very thing I've been searching for, only then it will pop up."
"Yup, so stop looking for your dad and continue living your life. Was that all you've been thinking about this whole time you've been out here?"
"Nah, I was thinking about a number of things." I said finally lightening the mood that started making me smile or at least smirk.
"What else were you thinking about?"
"My parents, my disowned aunt and her family, the girl I've been talking to 'my pen-pal', and our friends-"
"Does that include Pansy?" He says while smirking and then laughing
"Is she still hung up on me?"
"I believe so. Also she is going to try a new flirting tactic on you, she hasn't told me anything about it but I overheard her talking to someone outside my room the last time she was here."
"That's helpful to know... how long do I have to find someone to act as my new girl?"
"Maybe about 2-3 weeks maybe less, and why not ask Granger? I saw how cozy the two of you were after your apology."
"It's called being friendly and no I'm not doing that. The last time I asked her I really hurt her, even the twins sent pranks towards me for even considering it."
"Oh yeah, those were some good two months! They always did their best pranks on you or Umbridge! But why do you care for Granger's acceptance, you've never cared before?"
"I did care..." I said for only myself to hear.
"Is there another reason for the apology that I don't know about?"
