Another class she wasn't paying attention to. as aesthetically pleasing as her life is you'd think her grades would be at least a little better. an A+ student gone and here to take her place is a sad sack of potatoes, who knew a broken heart could ruin you GPA? This is most likely going to be the worst school year ever. maybe in a perfect world she would've been the right girl to spend his life with but she didn't just lose her boyfriend she lost her best friend. soul crushing that's what it is as well as unfair.

She can't just let him go, he's apart of every memory she had. failing P.E. he was there, when she fell off her bike and broke her arm he was there. when she got her wisdom teeth taken out can you guess? he was there. all her favorite movies are the movies she had seen with him. every shirt she owns has a story a memory of their time together. no one lasts forever she knew that but harry was the closest thing she had to a forever. being sad over some guy well not just any guy her everything.

the school bell rang for the students to transition again and she dreaded it. she should've stayed home, surely her mom would understand. but the her mom would want to talk about it but no that's not what betty wants to do. as she got up for what felt like the millionths time since she got to school. back in the hallway to her locker this time she actually grabs the book she needs for english, finally her favorite subject. on her way to english she passes harry's locker, her favorite memory of a time they were there together appeared.

today is the best day. her favorite day out of all the days in the year, it's harry's birthday! what a wonderful day of the year. betty saves up every year to spend her money on her favorite person in the world. she made him think she forgot today was his birthday and as she stands around the corner watching him unlock his locker, flowers fell from the tiny space. seventeen of them to be exact and a note. harry was a blushing mess everyone around him 'awws' he loves the attention he gets from beth on his birthday she always does the sweetest thing for him. he picks up his flowers and the card read 'to the moon and to saturn' of course she was this sweet he smelled the flowers as betty mad her to sneak up behind him. she has to stand on her tip toes to cover his eyes and she makes it sort of. "guess who?" she whispered in his ear tauntingly. "hmmm who could it be? i don't know but i have to tell you to unhand me, i am a kept man." she giggled and it was the best sound he's ever heard.

dropping down to her normal height, she turns harry around. "a kept man?" he looks both ways in the hallway before ducking down and kissing her lips. her lips always taste so good. she's the highlight of his day. she wrapped her arms around his neck and he around her waist pulling her tightly to him. She's back on her toes again kissing him passionately. eventually they part and she rests her head on his forehead. she's dangling in his arms to stay up close to him. "happy birthday my love." she blushed, and pecked his lips one more time.

"thank you baby." they are still close together tightly holding onto each other. "i have something for you." she says biting her lips. she's nervous, 'what if he doesn't like it?' she's terrible at gift giving. always has been. but this gift in particular is her favorite everything was her choice she customized it which love in her heart and thoughts of him in her brain. he's the best thing to ever walk this earth so he deserves the best present in the universe. why wouldn't she spoil him and love him to death especially on his birthday. 'do it!'

"like a gift?" he asked smiling ear to ear. he knew damn well. she bit her lip and nodded gently. "you didn't have to do that." he rubbed his nose against hers and she smiled. "and you don't have to love me but here we are." he let her go gently putting her back onto her feet. his flowers in one hand her note in the other, she had a way of making him feel special and he wished that would never change. she swung her bag around to the front opening the little pouch, she pulled out a box.
