It was like any other day in KQ Entertainment; wake up, work out, practice, eat, practice, repeat. Each day that goes on, being a trainee here, feels like the days are blending together. They are not becoming any different. One day, as I'm practicing one of my new favorite songs, Inception by ATEEZ, I notice someone standing at the door. Too immersed into the music to go to the door, I keep dancing. I have been practicing this song ever since it came out. I wanted to master it. It is my dream to be in a group like ATEEZ some day. When I finish dancing, I'm breathing heavily. I go to the door after catching my breath. My eyes lock with the boy standing in front of me. San.
"S-San?" I asked, taking a step back to bow.
"Yes. I was watching you dance from out in the hallway. You were very good, but let me show you how to polish it." San said.
"Oh my goodness. I can't believe you caught me dancing to your song. I'm embarrassed." I said, covering my blushing face.
San moves my hand away from my face. I gasp because his hand is on mine. I've always had a little crush on him, "Come, follow my lead."
"Mm, okay." I said.

San and I center ourselves in the middle of the practice room. I restart the song and we start dancing again. Dancing alongside the guy I looked up to in the company is like a dream come true. His visuals are beyond belief. He looks like an angel in the night lights of the practice room. I may be praising him because I like him so much, and that I look up to him, but I know someone like San would never ever fall for me. For one, I am only a trainee, and we must follow the strict no dating rule, San would like to respect that. Two, I am too young for him. He was born in 1999, while I was born in 2003. I am 18 in Korean age, but they don't think of 18 being an adult, but 20. It would be odd if we were to be together. Maybe we can look past the age gap, possibly make it work, but for now, I must not even think about it. Risking that for the both of us wouldn't be good. I will just take every moment I have with him as an opportunity to learn.

An hour or two goes by and we have just been talking. I had actually fallen asleep on his shoulder without even noticing, and San, not wanting to wake me, didn't love. He looks around for a way to get me back to my dorm without waking me up. Then, he thinks of it. The only, most gentle way possible, is to carry me. I barely feel it as San swoops me up in his strong arms and begins to carry me back to my dorm. He has to ask around to see where the girls' dorms are, but he eventually finds my rooms. Everyone is fast asleep as San places me down gently. I am dreaming of kissing him. My lips are moving too. Feeling uncomfortable now, San backs away, and leaves quickly and quietly. I don't even remember what I had done because I was asleep. I hope I wasn't too embarrassing.

I wake up that next morning with a bright smile on my face. I had spent the night practicing with San. I loved every moment of that, and I hope we have more moments like that. Now, back to trainee life as usual. My trainee friends were so jealous when I told them I practiced with San last night. Every girl only dreams of something like that happening to them. I am eating in the canteen as someone told me to go outside. Someone is waiting to talk to me. I finish eating first, then go outside. I go out to see that it's San. Huh, I guess.
"San, why'd you want to talk to me?" I asked.
"You know, we were talking and getting really close. We never exchanged Kakao ID's. I would like to be your mentor, if you don't mind." San said.
"Sure, I would love that." I said.
"Cool, hand me your phone, please." San said.
"Here." I said.
"Okay, let me just get my QR code and. . . Done." San said, smiling cutely, handing my phone back.
"Thank you, San hyung." I said.
"No, no, no. It's 'oppa'." San said.
"Ah, okay. Oppa, eh." I said.
"You don't like?" San asked.
"American Koreaboos ruined the word for me, I'm sorry maybe it's a culture thing." I said.
"Just call me what you like." San said.
"Right." I said.
"See you later." San said, hugging me.

Okay, San is serious about being friends then. This is a good sign. There's nothing going on between us. He already made it clear that he is helping me because he wants to be my mentor. Nothing more, nothing less. I couldn't settle for nothing less either way. I love San so much. To have him teach me and guide me is going to be fun. Plus, it gives me an excuse to hang out with him. I know he's already super busy with his group, but he's making time for me, which is so nice of him. When I saw him smile like that and his adorable dimples, ah I can't he's too cute.

So, I continue my training as per usual. Then, when my regular training is over, is when San comes in. I already train for about 10 hours a day, but training extra with San, makes that 11 or 12 hours. It also makes me a potential trainee to debut if I practice more. I highly appreciate San's help. Today, we're still working on perfecting Inception. I've listened to this song so much that I've memorized the lyrics. I just need to memorize the choreography now. When our training session was over for tonight, I thank San again, and leave to my dorm.
