Strangely congruous…

Minjae was encouraging with decisions that the Kim family proposed. He overflowed with pleasing smiles and eager nods like a devoted father who supported his son’s love.

“We would like to have the wedding at Daegu”, Jin said, “There is this church where we both got married”, he leaned towards his husband, “If it’s okay with you-“

“Sure!”, the man hurried with his reply as if delaying his answer would make the couple lose confidence in him.

“Daegu sounds good. Hometowns are best after all”

His sly smile almost slipped out but holding it back he continued, “I assume all your relatives reside there”

“Yes, they would be of much help in conducting the wedding”, Jin encouraged, beaming with happiness that his one wish about his son’s marriage was coming true. To have a wedding in the same church with all of their family. A wedding rich in culture and memories.

Minhee, who was beside her husband, struggled not to burst out from the anxiety Minjae was giving her. Now that she knew his intentions, the plan he was devising laid out clear in her mind.

The very family that Jimin, her son, was about to enter into could possibly be crushed under his greed.

And she was determined to prevent it.

Namjoon remained silent, his eyes busy noticing the expressions on the others’ faces, of which none left a good impression on him.

Aware of the past Minhee shared with his daughter, it was a given that he took an instant dislike towards her. Though on Jin’s request, he let go of his rage and decided to meet the family.

What caught him by surprise, was the male. Park Minjae.

The mask was slipping away too frequently and Namjoon’s curiosity about the actual face behind it was growing strong. What kind of expression was the man trying so hard to hide? And why to them?

A call pulled away Minjae from continuing the conversation and he left the place gladly. Tired of all the good guy acting.

“Did your daughter not come?”, Minhee asked, trying to ease her heavy mind through a change of topic.

Jin and Namjoon eyed each other silently. They were getting tired from pretending too.

“She has cram school”, Namjoon gave her a flat answer.

The tone she received left her confused and her mind grew heavier instead.

With their parents discussing about the important details, Taehyung and Jimin stayed in the green house walking around the trees and fountain. One was all smiley while the other tried matching those smiles.

When called for lunch they returned back to the mansion through the stone path in the garden.

Jimin glanced through his fiance’s troubled face for the nth time. He studied how the think brows were meeting together in tension as the lips below were being nibbled on unconsciously.

“Are you really fine?”, he asked for the fifth time since he saw the younger that morning.

“I’m fine. Don’t worry”, Taehyung lied for the fifth time.

The older kept count of the times he questioned him about the long face and reminded himself that the sixth time would be the last chance. So he remained silent.

Lunch was served.

The menu contained few of Daegu’s special recipes, made by top level chefs who were personally requested by Minjae.

“Does the food suit your taste?”, he asked eagerly.

“It’s perfect!”, Jin exclaimed while nudging his husband to respond in a good way as well.

“Yeah, it’s good”, Namjoon nodded and continued eating.

Taehyung was no different. He was picking at his food, eating very little from what was served to him.

Jimin sighed at the worn out expression. He was dying to hear him out but wasn’t able to when all his concerns were turned down.

“You guys having lunch?”, Yoongi’s voice startled the people at the dining table.

“Can I join?”, he asked rubbing his palm, ready to dive into the many mouth-watering dishes.

“Sure”, Minhee smiled and invited him to take a seat.

Yoongi bowed to the elders and sat beside Jimin.

“I’ll speak to your parents in person tomorrow. I’m really sorry, Yoongi”, Minjae apologized.

Minhee almost scoffed at the sad expression that so badly suited her husband.

“Don’t worry, Uncle”, Yoongi said, “The talk is already done. I’ve taken care of it”

Leaning towards Jimin he whispered, “I gonna introduce Hoseok to my parents soon”, and winked.

“Oh my god! Isn’t that too soon?”, Jimin whispered back.

“I love him. Isn’t that enough?”

“Does he know that?”

“Oops”, Yoongi bit his tongue in realization. The order was messed up.

“Does he know that you are AgustD?”

“Oops again but hey, that’s a surprise”

The younger sighed, “Hyung, that’s a risky surprise”

“I know. I’ll figure it out soon. But what’s with your grumpy boyfriend?”, he glanced over at a lost in thought Taehyung.

Jimin pouted, “He won’t tell me”
