So this ship is canon in the fandom and in real life. Here's the thing I want to talk about though. A lot of people say that Alexander Hamilton was a horrible husband and stuff like that. Stop saying it. Please. Alexander was actually very loyal to Eliza. Yes he cheated on her. That was one mistake. That doesn't mean he was a bad husband the rest of the time.

Some people also say that Alexander didn't actually love Eliza and the only loved John Laurens or in some cases Angelica. This is not true. I repeat not true. Alexander actually loved Eliza. No I am not saying he didn't love other people but he did love Eliza. The had a very loving relationship and nothing permanently destroyed their relationship.

This brings me to my next thing. Alexander's affair that many people say broke their relationship. I wouldn't say it broke Alexander and Eliza's relationship but it wasn't the same as it was before the affair. People also say/ask why would Alexander keep having the affair with Maria Reynolds if he loved Eliza. The affair was started because James Reynolds forced Maria to have an affair with Alexander Hamilton. Alexander was very impulsive and couldn't restrain himself. So I found this in the letters between Alexander and Maria. Alexander kinda wanted to stop having the affair but the Reynolds' kept finding reason he shouldn't/couldn't. Like one time Maria said if he didn't keep having the affair with her she would commit suicide and obviously Alexander wouldn't want her to commit suicide so he kept having an affair with her. And another time James Reynolds threatened to beat Susan Reynolds who was Maria's daughter if Alexander stopped the affair. So again Alexander kept having an affair with Maria so that wouldn't happen. So this doesn't really prove that Alexander didn't love Eliza. Also I am in no way saying that what Alexander Hamilton did was all right. I am just looking at the different sides of what happened.

After that Eliza and Alexander's relationship was different than before but not torn apart. Eliza forgave him and Alexander spent years trying to atone for it. Just that alone shows how strong their bond was and how much they must have cared for each other. And it's not like Eliza hated him for it. Even after Alexander died Eliza spent decades standing up for him and his legacy. She would not have done that if she did not love him.

Overall this ship is not perfect but a very good one. It's  full of love and forgiveness despite the ups and downs they had.
