Hey guys! I know I haven’t been on in…maybe a few months it was just because I wasn’t feeling that story anymore so I think I’m just going to delete it. But anyway, this story was kind of inspired by Kiptonize; go follow her because her Ereri stories are every fangirls dream. In this story there will be very slight OOC at some parts but please look past that! Anyways, without further adieu, the story!

Eren’s POV:

I awoke to a pounding at my apartment door. After a groan, I rolled out of bed, rubbing my blue eyes. Opening the door, I instantly regret it. Mrs. Loudmouth (Hanji) was standing at my door with a grin that could stretch from here to Timbuktu.

“What Hanji?” I asked, becoming slightly more cheerful the more awake I became.

“I have something for you!” and without any further warning, I was pulled across the hall and into the mad woman’s apartment. I could see that her apartment looked different…cleaner.

“What is this about Hanji? Did Levi break into your apartment to clean?” I asked with a chuckle. She turned back to me and frowned.

“No! He’s in France remember?” she said matter-of-factly. Levi was Hanji’s husband, whom for some unknown reason despised me. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

“Anyways…I want you to meet someone but let me explain first. Back at my lab, there was a group of scientists doing illegal things. Unlawful experiments that were a disgrace to all science…except one.” She beckoned for me to come forward. She turned to me and opened her bedroom door as if she was displaying something on TV.

“Um, what am I supposed to be looking at?” I said peering around the room. She blinked and looked at the room. She bent down to look under her bed.

“Ahh she always does this. Isabella please come out! There’s someone I want you too meet!” she said encouragingly. I bent down to look under the bed as well and was greeted by a pair of beautiful chocolate brown eyes. They seemed to shrink as they caught sight of me.

“No! -” A soft voice cooed. “-He won’t like me! He’ll be scared and run away like everyone else!” the voice continued. Hanji sighed and retrieved something from her dresser.

“I didn’t want to have to do this but you’ve left me no choice,” she said sadly. A sudden dot appeared on the ground. The source was from the tiny laser pointer currently residing in Hanji’s hand. A hand made an appearance from under the bed and tried to catch the light. Hanji moved it out of the way at the last moment, further away from the bed. Then suddenly, a figure dashed out of the bed, attempting to take the mysterious red dot by surprise and catch it. But as soon as it emerged, Hanji turned off the light. The figure shrunk back into the corner under my gaze, I couldn’t help but stare. Hanji stepped in front of her and put her hands out.

“Before you freak out let me explain! She’s a neko-person. Her name is Isabella, but she also responds to Izzy.” I rose a brow and peeked around Hanji to look at ‘Isabella’. I noticed the cat ears that were placed on the top of her head, and the long tail that she was currently holding with her small hands. She stepped to the side to hide behind Hanji and I couldn’t help but smile. Hanji noticed this and stood straight again. Isabella also took note of the smile, and a slight blush appeared on her cheeks as the corners of her mouth upturned in a shy smile.

“She was created by that rogue group of scientists and they trained her to be a servant. I know how much you love animals, especially cats, and I can’t take care of her for much longer. Levi is coming back in a few days and he despises cats. So I was hoping you would take her.” She said enthusiastically. I looked back at Isabella, who was eagerly awaiting an answer. When I caught her eye, she looked down, ashamed to have been caught listening. After a few moments of thought, I smiled.

“Of course Hanji… anything for you.” I said with a smile. Hanji clapped and gave me a suffocating hug.

“Thank you! I owe you one.” She said as she let go of me. She went over to Isabella and began pulling her towards me. Hanji wouldn’t let her seek shelter in her shadow and pushed her towards me.

“Oh come ON Isabella! He doesn’t bite!” she said as she struggled to push the stubborn neko towards me. I made things easier by closing the distance between us. I smiled and stuck out a hand.

“I’m Eren! It’s nice to meet you!” I said smiling. She smiled too and slowly reached out a hand. She gently grasped it and we shook hands slightly.

“As you already know, I’m Isabella. It is also a pleasure to meet you as well.” She said in a voice like bells. Hanji had left us to go and grab certain things from her apartment, which I assumed would be things for Isabella. She dumped them into my arms and smiled. She practically pushed out of her apartment murmuring good lucks and wishes. I opened to door to my apartment and gestured for Isabella to enter. She hesitantly stepped into the room and almost gasped in shock. It was much different compared to Hanji’s. Hanji’s apartment was dark, all dark wood and almost no windows and many doors. My apartment was the exact opposite. The wood was birch wood and was extremely light, the entire back wall of my living room was glass letting in the light of the setting sun. It was open floor plan that must’ve seemed welcoming to her. I smiled at her delight.

“I don’t have a spare bedroom so-” I began. But she cut me off.

“I’m perfectly comfortable sleeping on the couch.” She said warily. I chuckled. She took a closer look at the apartment and saw that in some places, tidiness was not a familiar term. I smiled as she edged away from the messy areas and began to walk towards the couch.

“So…you were really bred to do housework?” I asked as I sat down next to her. She nodded.

“The people who created me made me work for them. I can cook clean and- well do other things that I’d rather not talk about.” She said quietly as her ears flattened. I chuckled at ho cute she was.

“Well, during the week, except Friday, I have to work. Are you alright on your own here?”

            “I’ll manage.”
