Chapter 1 Wedding Disaster

Two Months Before The Wedding

*Flashback*

"Sakura-chan!" A familiar cheery voice called out to me from behind. I turned to see Ruka-pyon running towards me, waving his hand in the air.

I smiled brightly and waved back vigorously. "RUKA-PYOOOOON! OVER HERE!"

Ruka-pyon was my long-time boyfriend of three years. We had went to Gakuen Alice Academy together with our best friends Hotaru, Sumire, Nonoko, Anna, and Koko.

Ruka and I started dating during our last year of highschool, which makes us twenty-one year olds. Geez, I'm getting old already.

After I graduated, I didn't know what to do with my life. I decided not to go to college, sparing myself four more years of schoolwork. I still managed to get a job without a college degree. I am currently a fashion designer at Valera Couture. The kind manager took me in without a second thought.

It's not like I don't know what to do. I'm pretty good at designing clothes. In fact, I was voted designer of the month by my fellow designers.

When I was little, I used to draw dresses with my mother all the time before, well, she passed away in an accident. My Dad eventually got over my mother's death and married another woman.

Anyway, Ruka-pyon asked me to meet him here by the water fountain in the park.

I had gotten here a few minutes ago, waiting for Ruka to show up. I wonder what he wants to talk about.

Oh, I hope he doesn't break up with me! He's the only guy in the entire world that actually makes me happy!

I started biting my nails nervously, thinking about what I would do if we were to break up.

Ruka-pyon was taking his time, walking instead of running over to me. He was also holding something in his hands, though I don't know what.

I suddenly heard a crunching noise. I turned to the nearby bushes, sure that that was the source of the noise. But that wasn't important right now.

Ruka-pyon was now standing in front of me smiling cheerfully. "Hey Sakura-chan!"

"Hi Ruka-pyon!" I pulled him into a bone-crushing hug, but he didn't seem to notice the pressure.

He wrapped his strong arms around me, pressing me to his lean, muscular body..

I said all this to myself in my head, also mentally punching myself.

"Mikan." Ruka-pyon said my name gently. The sound of my name on his tongue made me feel, I don't know. Good.

"Yes Ruka-pyon?" I tilted my head up, looking straight into his eyes, smiling up at him.

He said nothing for awhile. Then he let go of me.

Ruka-pyon put his hands on each of my shoulders, setting me down to sit on the edge of the fountain.

"Mikan.." He said in a dreamy voice. "You're a big part of my life. I can say that."

"And you a part of my life." I said back to him, savoring his words.
