Kayla's POV
As I was floating there in the blackness I had a lot of time to think. I was kind of relived that I was where I was.
The pain in my ribs dulled and I didn't have to worry about fighting the monster. I was so temtedbto just let go.
Being teased by relaxation and darkness. Coaxing me out of my semi-consiouss state.
I felt awake but relaxed, I felt happy only for a moment. I was being shaken. I re entered full consciousness.
I coughed and heard someone say "She's awake!" I heard footsteps and a kiss on my forehead...it was Nico I used what little strength I had to bring my arms around his neck and give him a hug.
He picked me up and I was partially standing aware of what was happening.
My mouth was dry I needed fluids. "Water..." Was all I could choke out.
Rachael's POV
We defeated the monster I was over by Kayla shaking her because I had no idea what else to do.
She coughed. "She's awake." I shouted to the group but no one impiticular.
Nico ran over and I got up to get out of his way. He half picked her up and I heard her mumble "water..."
Nico got her some water and we started walking. Then Kayla started talking.
"What happened...is the minster dead...did we do it?"
All these questions were falling out of her mouth I was too tired from the fight to answer them so let Nico do it.
We did defeat the monster but what I thought was the last level happened to be the last level In the chapter there were 2 chapters.
We were no where near done.
