"I don't know what they are called -- the spaces between seconds -- but I always think of YOU in those intervals."
Liam's P.O.V.
"I don't wanna hear a single thing." I huffed, massaging my temples with the index finger and thumb of my free hand. "You said the same thing two weeks ago." I reminded her, bringing my hand back to my side. "I'll talk to Simon now. Lemme handle it." I grumbled, pacing restlessly back and forth in my room then.
"There's nothing kiddish about it," I whined when Alya asked me to stop behaving like a kid. "I know you don't love me anymore," I said dolefully, pulling my brows together in a furrow. "I know you don't."
In response, she told me that she loved me a lot and missed me more than I missed her - which wasn't true at all. She had no fucking idea how badly I was missing her. She then promised me that she would try her best to convince Simon.
"But princess, you..."
I stopped speaking in the middle of my sentence when someone called out Alya's name in the background and she requested me to wait a minute. Getting back to me, she informed me that it was time for her flight to leave for Australia, and she would call me once she lands there.
"All right babe, have a safe flight," I spoke into the phone gloomily and my expressions dropped immediately. "I love you and miss you so so so much!" She kissed me on the phone and with that, both of us hung up.
In another second, I walked towards the bed, punching Simon's number on my phone and my fingers did a little dance, pondering whether to tap the call button or not.
"Baby, promise me that you will not talk to Simon sir regarding my show."
Alya's voice replayed in my head once, twice, thrice and I let out a defeated sigh, finally locking my phone before tossing it on the pillow. "Argh." I groaned aloud, running my hand through my hair, and threw myself on the bed before covering my face with both of my arms.
With closed eyes, I kept lying in the same position for a few minutes and waited for my worked-up emotions to cool down in silence. Suddenly, the sound of the knock on the door of my room fell into my ears and I drew in a deep breath, letting it out slowly so that I would not sound too restless.
"It's open," I spoke aloud, opening my eyes and glanced in the direction of the door, only to find mom peeking inside through the slightly opened door.
"Hey." She passed me a loving smile, stepping inside the room, and closed the door behind her before making her way towards me. Sitting up a bit, I balanced my upper body on both of my forearms and elbows and passed her a meek smile in return.
"Hey," It came out too low and I doubt mom would have even heard me. Taking the seat next to me on the bed, she placed her hand on my thigh and gave it a tender squeeze.
