"I know, it's pretty exciting." Casey paced her bedroom floor, holding her phone to her ear. "Yeah, he should be home pretty soon." She plopped down on her worn out livingroom Sofa. "Yes, of course I'm going to tell him this time." Casey sighed. She took in a breath to continue, but there was a knock at the door. "Oh, Sandy, I've gotta go, he's here. Alright, bye!" She hung up and tossed her phone carelessly onto the couch as she got up to answer the door.
"Jason!" She squeed as she opened the door. "Hey!" He smiled and hugged her. "Come in, come in, you have to tell me all about your trip! Why did you come back so soon? That was like the shortest trip ever!" She laughed as she helped him with his bags. "Don't worry about those, I've got them." He assured. "Well, too late, they're already inside, like you should be." He laughed and pulled the rest inside, closing the door behind him.
"Come on, sit down!" Casey urged as she plopped down on the couch. "Alright, alright, jeez." He gave a content sigh as he sank into the seat. "Forget about the trip." He chuckled. "Nothing interesting happened, I was only there on business." Casey groaned. "Oh, come on! Nothing Interesting at all?" She raised a brow. "Nope. Not a thing." He ruffled her hair. "Besides, I'm sure way more important things happened here in Maduhpsity." He smiled. "How's Sandy?"
"She's alright. Got a new girlfriend." She leaned back on the couch. "Oh? How's that going for her?" He rested his hands behind his head. "Pretty well, from what I've heard. She thinks this one might be the one." She wiggled her eyebrows. The two laughed. "So when are you gonna get a boyfriend?" He asked.with a smirk.
"We've had this discussion. I'm not interested in that kind of thing." She rolled her eyes. "You'll change your mind one of these days." He pat her back. "Jason, I'm 22. I've never been in a romantic relationship before. What does that say to you? That I 'just haven't found the one' yet?" Jason sighed and crossed his arms. "Fine."
"Why is it so important to you, anyway?" She asked, furrowing her brows. "I just think you deserve better than to be alone all the time, is all." He answered. "I'm not alone. I have Sandy." She shrugged. "That's different. Sandy's your friend."
"It's more than that. She's my best friend." She grinned. "No, I mean it's not the same as a romantic relationship." "Why not?" "Because- I don't know, it's just not. Romantic relationships, you cuddle and kiss and all that stuff." He explained. "But why can't I do that platonically?" She raised an eyebrow. "Because then it's not platonic!" She shrugged. "Whatever, I guess. I just don't like romance. Like.... At all." She leaned back again. "If that means I'll be 'alone' by your standards, then so be it, I guess."
Just then, her phone rang. She picked it up and examined the screen. "Sandy's calling me." She mumbled before clicking 'accept'. "Hello?" "Yeah. Oh that sounds great! Absolutely!" She grinned widely. "Okay, I'll tell him. See you then!" She ended the call and turned to Jason. "Get up, we're going out with Sandy and her girlfriend, Colette. "Uh. Okay, I guess."
