The Suprise

"I don't think we should give an introduction to this part because it would just spoil it all" Daren suggested.

"You probably right"

Flashback

"Oh...ya ya I get it...no...I miss you...no I think I'm just gonna go to Lauren tonight... love you" Olivia said into her phone before she hung up.

Olivia fell onto her bed and stared at the celling. She curled herself up into a ball and let the tears she had been holding in fall. By this point she was letting out sobs muffled by her pillow.

"Hey Liv you weren't answering my texts so I just came by to check and see if your" Lauren stoped mid sentence as she walked into the room with the crying girl.

"Hey hey Liv babe what's wrong." Lauren said getting on the bed to hug Olivia 

"D-Daren said he-he can't come b-back for our anniversary" Olivia said between sobs.

Lauren immediately relaxed at her words. Darren had told her about his plans of surprising Olivia weeks ago. His plan was to tell her he couldn't make it back and then surprise her the day of their anniversary. He was supposed to fly in that night  to get everything ready for their anniversary the next day.

"Oh Liv" Lauren said suddenly great full she was an actress.

"Lo, you don't get it. I was so excited to see him. I haven't in over a month. Do you know how terrible that is." Olivia said sitting up from her place on the bed.

"Liv. I-I'm sorry. Did he say why" Lauren said not knowing what to say.

"He said that he had an audition he had to go too." Olivia said brokenly.

"I'm sorry Liv. You wanna hang at my place while we watch movies and eat ice cream." Lauren suggested.

"Gosh I love you so much Lo" Olivia said before pulling Lauren into a long embrace.

Olivia and Lauren left to Lauren's house for their sleepover. Lauren was instructed to make sure Olivia was out of the house all day tomorrow so she thought why not just hang out with her all weekend until Darren came.

They both watched a total of 3 movies and ate 5 bowls of popcorn. Olivia only cried twice the remainder of the night. Before Olivia went to bed she called Darren on her phone. It was a fairly quick call it only lasted 5 minutes as most lasted hours.

Olivia was worried for her relationship. Her and Darren rarely fought and never went a day without talking for at least an hour. That was until today obviously. Olivia ended up crying herself to sleep that night beside her best friend.

Olivia woke up the next morning to her phone vibrating against the bedside table.

'Good morning beautiful, I hope you have an amazing day. Miss you like crazy xxx -DareBear'

Olivia let out a cry as she read the text. 'he really forgot' she thought.

Lauren quickly sat up in the bed as she heard Olivias cry's.

"Liv whats wrong" Lauren asked pulling
Olivia into a hug.

"He forgot." Olivia whined.

Lauren felt bad for keeping this secret. She knew how much this was hurting her best friend and it hurt her. She fought the urge to spill the secret.

"I'm sorry Olivia. Maybe he was just waiting to say is until he can call you." Lauren lied.

"No he forgot. Let- lets just forget about it. Can we have a girls day" Olivia suggested while wiping her tears from her swollen red eyes.

"Okay. How about this. We do face masks and have a mini spa day and then we get dress up and go out." Lauren suggested.

"I don't know Lo i'm not really in the mood to get all dressed up." Olivia companied.

"Common it'll make you feel better I promise." Lauren begged. She knew she had to get Olivia dressed up and out of the house somehow.

"Okay fine. But first let's eat I'm starving." Olivia said looked to her stomach.

'You owe me so much for this Darren' Lauren texted Darren

'Lo I can't thank you enough. Love you' Darren texted back.

'Love you too but just so you know she's pissed and has been crying all day' Lauren answered.

'Ahh Lauren I could have used without that information. Now I feel like shit.' Darren replied.

'I gotta go spa day.' Lauren texted.

'Okay make sure she's at her apartment by 8pm tonight Lo don't be late' Darren demanded.

'Okay I'll have her there by 8:01 ;)' Lauren finished.
