A.N: For a little bit, I'm gonna write some short dabbles here and there until I complete the next "big thing" that happens in the story, which might come out soon! :3 Also, picture credit goes to me! I took this photo. ^
"Please Tim?" I give him the puppy-dog eyes and tug on his arm.
"If we do, will you please stop bothering me then?" Tim shrugs me off and opens the front door looking back at me.
"Yes!!!" I cheer and run through the door and race to his car.
I had always wanted a pet, and my Aunt Kate wanted one too. So, we talked about it and decided what we were gonna get. At the moment, Aunt Kate is at her workshop, so she gave me some time alone with Tim. I think she knows about us... Ah well!
"Hurry up slowpoke!" I yell back at vampire-boy, 'teleporting' to the car swiftly.
"Let's go and get this over with." Tim gets in the drivers seat and starts up the car; a low rumble shakes the car. I quickly climb into the passenger's seat and buckle my seatbelt.
[Time Skip]
When we pull into the lot of the pet store, I get out of the vehicle and jog over to the window, pressing my face on to the clear glass window looking at the animals. I feel a tight grip on the collar of my leather jacket jerk me away from the window and into the store. When we walk in, I hear a bell ring above the door, greeting us in a welcoming way. A boy, about 17 or 18, look to was us. Terrors trucks me as I realize who it is; Jake. The abusive boy Kat "dated" at her old school. I gulp down my worries and walk towards the Cats section. Tim walks over to the counter where Jake is watching me, and starts to talk. Just to keep him distracted, I guess.
I gaze over at the furry bundles of fur and pick up a male tortoiseshell kitten.
"Aww, you're sooo cute!" I scratch his back, and a little squeal/mew erupts from his muzzle.
I set him down and look over to Tim. He gives me a warning glance and mouths '5 minutes'. I sigh and look back into the boxes full of cats and kittens. I take a deep breath and reach back out for the tortoiseshell until setting catches the corner of my eye. In one of the corners of the box, there is a little female calico kitten laying down; sleeping. I reach out and stroke it head, which wakes it up. Without hesitation, I walk over to the counter and ask Jake for how much the kitten would be.
"That'd be $30." Jake gives me a glance, which completely ignore and just give him a $50 bill. I felt an uncomfortable presence lingering in the store, so I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could speed-walk. Tim pushed me along and soon we made back to the car. As soon as we get settled, Tim turn to me, looking at the calico (not tortoiseshell) kitten in my hands.
"Cool." Tim starts the car and we get a move on back to my place.
