It wasn't the usual Sunday. Mom woke me up as I slept in because it was a Sunday, when mom woke me up she had a distressed look on her face and her packing of my clothes, telling me to get ready meant that there was a sense of urgency that I did not care of. I like to take my time with everyday things like eating and getting up, but mom wasnt having my bullshit today as she shouted at me saying that there was a car outside and that we need to move before "they" come. Who's "they"? I also don't know, but do I care? Also no because"they" got nothing to do with me, I hope.

Following my mom's army like instructions I rushed out of our apartment and into "car". It wasn't an actually a car I knew mom didn't have the money to buy such an expensive thing. It was instead a rented carriage which is not cheap but it isn't expensive as well. Then with the flick of wrist as the whip hit the horses, they started galloping into the distance.

"Mamma, where are we going" I asked because I was actually curious for once.
"You'll see in a bit" she replied, very weak answer that didn't tell me anything except that it was close by.
As we "galloped" away I looked at the buildings and apartments that were all squashed together as a man started speaking to me.

"Young man, do you know what a paradox is" he asked
"Isn't it, that thing that you can't have a proper answer to and the answer contradicts the statement?" I said, thinking I sounded smart.
"Quite so, can you tell me a paradox?"
"My mom told me something about the pinocchio paradox, where if pinocchio said his nose will grow now and it does grow that would mean he wasn't lying, but if he wasn't lying the nose wouldn't grow but if it didn't grow that means his previous statement was a lie and so so forth..."
"Quite the paradox you have there  young man, but what if I were to tell you how that wasn't a paradox" he said intriguingly.
"How?" I asked inquisitively
"Young man, you have to learn the difference between a lie and a false prediction," he said "what pinocchio said was merely a false prediction, so it wasn't a lie meaning it is now a paradox" he said.

I woke up as the road had become bumpy and when I looked out it was a field of green.
