"WOAH! MINI EARTHQUAKE!" Maria slurred from where she sat on Five's bed. The bed shook and the glasses around her rumbled on the bedside table. She lifted her arms up as if she were on a rollercoaster and waved them around. Five smiled at her, shaking his head. "Oh, shit, I spilled my margarita."

"I think that's for the better," Five said, slipping the glass out of her grasp. "How many have you made?"

"Enough to make up for the time I wasn't able to drink," Maria smirked, reaching out to grab the glass. Five pulled it away from her as the house continued to rumble.

"Hey, the ceiling's getting in my margarita!" Maria complained. Five furrowed his eyebrows and looked up. She was correct; bits and piecing of the ceiling were crumbling off at them.

"What the hell?" Five muttered, standing up and poking his head out into the hallway. His eyes widened and he turned around rushing towards Maria and ushered her to stand up. "We gotta get out of here."

"What?" Maria asked as Five tugged her off her stool. "Why, I'm not finished —"

"No, Maria, we need to leave," He said, leading her towards the hall for her to see what was happening. "Look!"

It was far from a mini earthquake; the entire house seemed to be shaking, and the walls appeared to slowly crumbling apart. If it continued at this rate, Maria assumed the walls would completely collapse.

"Oh, fuck," She cursed, her eyebrows raising. "That's not good. That's really not good —"

"Yes, I know, which is why we need to leave!" Five grabbed onto Maria's hand so tightly she thought it might fall off and the two started sprinting out of the house, through the hall, down the stairs and towards the door.

"Ow, shit!" Maria cursed as a large piece of drywall clunked her in the temple. Her hand that wasn't holding Five's went up to her head, where she felt warm blood dripping from it. "You're kidding."

"Here's your warning!" Five called out, tugging her close and blinking them to the front entrance. Maria coughed into her elbow from all the dust from the rumbling building.

"Thanks," She mumbled, feeling a headache coming on as Five pulled in through the front door and onto the sidewalk.

"Are you okay?" Five asked quickly, his hand shooting up to her temple and wiping away the blood.

"I think I'm sober now," She breathed, turning around to look at the Academy. "Oh, shit, Five —"

"What the —" Before Five could finish his sentence, the Umbrella Academy, all at once and in one piece, collapsed entirely. Part of it was lit ablaze from the fireplace that had been lit before the demolition of the building, but Maria only got to see it for a split second, because she wrapped her arms around Five and tugged him towards the ground. She put her body over top of his and she could feel little bits and pieces of the house fly and hit her skin.
