CONGRATULATIONS..
At school, I was always the friend that didn't get to go anywhere, because my parents didn't have much money and I worked my butt off for the money that I did have. So, you can imagine my face when my best friend Teri came into my work place absolutely ecstatic, and told me that she'd won two tickets to go and meet One Direction at their radio interview at Capital FM in London. Inside, I was extrememly jealous, and I was secretely hoping that she had chosen me to take with her. "Congratulations Teri! Was it the magazine competition that you entered way back in December!?" I said to her. "Yes! Can you believe it, I'd even forgotten about it, but they rang me about half an hour ago and said that i'd won! I just can't believe it! and um.. I'm really sorry bu-" "Its fine" I cut her off. "you're taking Charlie? Don't worry, I honestly don't mind." I finished with a smile. It was so weird pretending that I just didn't care. I knew I wouldn't hear the end of it on Monday when Charlie arrives, she will make sure that everyone in my entire school knows that she's going to be meeting One Direction. When Teri left Matalan, where I work, I became so miserable. I was SO jealous, One Direction had been my favourite band for as long as I can remember.
Monday came, and I was dreading it. I felt awful, but I knew that if Charlie or Teri spoke to me then I would have been blunt with them, so I tried my best to avoid them all day. I had a brief encounter with Charlie in the morning, she couldn't wait to tell me her amazing news. "LAUREN!! I'M GOING TO MEET ONE DIRECTION! THEBOYS! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!" she screamed in my face. "Teri told me already, well done you guys, I hope you have fun" I said whilst walking around her to go to my next lesson. I really didn't want to hear it, I'd never been so jealous of two people in my entire life. When I got home from school that night, I logged on to twitter to check what 'the boys' had been tweeting throughout the day. "@Harry_Styles: Congratulations to @TezzaBe1D for winning the OK Magazine competition, looking forward to meeting you .xx" "@Real_Liam_Payne: @TezzaBe1D can't wait to meet you babe, well done !!" Wow. I had never ever felt so upset in my life. Not only had she won tickets to meet them, they'd tweeted her too! I would spend every single night sat in my bedroom, trying to get a single tweet from my idols.
