peace

you tossed and turned all night in bed due to the countless thoughts roaming through your head. the only light in the room was from the moon peaking through the curtains. timothée laid next to you, dead asleep as the moonlight found home on the half of his face that was in your eyesight.
god, he's so beautiful when he sleeps.
it's hard to even picture a time where he hasn't looked god-like. his chest lay bare as you find only true comfort when your bodies are unclothed. such an intimate feeling. although sexual temptation has roamed through your mind while staring at him, your current state of mind was non-sexual intimacy. the feeling you get when silence with someone is comforting and not scary. his whole body twitches as you snap out of your thoughts. you gaze over to the clock and find the time to be almost 4 in the morning. you couldn't bare the thought of waking timmy up as he looked so peaceful while sleeping, but also couldn't imagine not getting another hour of sleep.
you decide to leave the bed and wonder to the kitchen and make yourself some chamomile tea. the floors creek due to the one-story cozy cabin in the middle of upstate new york being more than one-hundred years old. the wool socks protect your feet from the cold gust of wind that flies through the opened living room window. you wear nothing but the socks and timmy's sweatshirt. the mixture of sandalwood and vanilla lingers from him wearing this shirt only earlier that day. you're careful to walk back to the bedroom as to not make a sound and wake timmy up.
the window seat in the room becomes your new home as you sit on it, snuggling into a blanket and sipping your tea, staring out at the full moon. the moon lights up the woods in a nostalgic way, feeling the warmth of past halloween's and leaves changing colors. though not bright enough to showcase the orange leaves on the tree to represent autumn, you know that is what lies in sunlight. timmy moves around in bed and you gaze over at him, slowly sipping your tea which provides warmth.
he stops moving but you find yourself unable to look away, a single curl from his hair lays on his forehead and find eternal peace by looking at him. his jaw line is so sharp and you find yourself wondering how someone could look so cool while they're sleeping. with the window open, the wind gusts and brings a chill over you body. you shudder and your teeth chatter for a slight moment. timmy lets out a small groan and you look over to find his eyes slowly opening.

"mmm come back to bed y/n," he quietly lets out. he looms over to the clock while rubbing his eyes, "it's almost 5 in the morning the sun is about to rise." he stares at you as you look back at him. he's so calm and collected. nothing like yourself, you think.

"i cant sleep babe, been up all night." you reply and let out a sigh. the truth is that you're exhausted but can't seem to turn your mind off.

he slowly gets out of bed, sits on the edge for a few seconds. he looks down and his curls follow him, all you see is his silhouette. he stands up, wearing only the boxers he fell asleep in. he walks toward you and now you can see every part of him as the moon brings light to his body. he lays opposite of you in the window seat as you share the blanket. you decide to put the tea on the floor and look up to find him staring at you.

"you're so beautiful," he admits. he gives a small smile, like his famous shy smile that you love, "i love you so much."

"i love you so much more," you say and smile at him. the moonlight begins to fade as the sun takes over. the sunrise lights up all the trees and you can see the orange take over.

"come here," he says. opening his arms, you fall into him.

your head lays on his chest and his hands rub your arms. he moves his hands to your hair and runs them through each strand. you look up at him just to find him looking down at you. his eyes glisten, but not from the welcoming sun. his love for you has been communicated through his eyes. you move so that you're right next to him, your cold noses touch each other. he leans in and kisses you, grabbing your face with both hands. your hands find themselves locked around his neck. you're both laying next to the window with both the rising sun and your bodies bringing warmth to each other. you pause and look at each other and he lets out a soft giggle.

"what?" you ask.

"it's nothing," he admits, as he smiles to himself.

you look at him confused, "okay timmy you have to tell me."

"y/n, it's nothing." but he's still smiling. you stare at him, feeling the warmth from his breath due to how close you are. his smile grows and you now see his teeth and dimples. you run your hands through his hair and play with the curls.

"i just love you so much," he finally admits.

you chuckle. "i love you too."

he pulls you closer to him and you lay on his chest. he kisses your head as you watch the sun finally rise, although no longer dark outside. the warmth of timmy brings you all the comfort you need to finally close your eyes and drift to sleep. free of the thoughts that kept you awake, finally at peace.
