Marching to nowhere, these four individuals fumbles their way out of the oblivion of what they just occured to them.
They are left dumbfounded, drained, and nauseated as they seek toward the horizon-which seems never ending.
"Hey you, new one. What did just happened back there!" The guy called Rai yelled to the expression less face of Cain.
"I don't really know exactly. It seems like we've just been attacked," he replied, staring straight to Rai's blue, raging eyes.
Arrghhh!!!
Rai let out a groan, trying to ease the anger and helplessness he feel two hours ago.
"Can you please stop whining, Rai? Your whining don't help a thing!" This woman is called Deneb.
She's managing herself to be composed as she can, but deep inside her resides worries to what just befall to their beloved base.
She shifted her gaze to Cain which he reciprocated with a helpless look. Deneb forced a smile, "you may be a new recruit, but if not for you, we won't be here-" she turned her head to Rai's undecipherable face-"Rai won't be here, complaining like a little girl."
"Hey!" Rai roared.
"What? Am I wrong? I can barely recall your face back there when you took a glimpse to that freakish Arachangel."
"That was an Archangel, you stupid bitch! Who wouldn't be scared!"
"Call me a bitch one more time and I'll shove this fucking fist in your asshole," Deneb warned, raising his fist, staring daggers with Rai.
"You...!"
But after the two clashed their fists to each other, a young man with a pistol in his both hands interrupted. He is literally pointing the gutter on the head of Deneb and Rai, index finger on the trigger, looking like the eye of the storm. He's alternatingly looking to Rai and Deneb daring them to continue this futile act.
"Fuck!" Rai cursed in resignation.
Deneb, in the other hand, slowly depressing her fist as she never let the guy's stare. It was the first time he saw Leo with such rage.
Normally, back when he started as a new recruit at The Pier, he's the usual composed guy who speaks through his gazes instead of words. He's mute. Also, others can observe Leo as the 'composed one' who never lost his cool while being one of the greatest asset of the organization.
Deneb breathed out a loud air. She admits that she lost it, too, but for some reason, she can feel what Rai is currently feeling right now. She too, felt the same-helpless.
She was right in the center of his decent, beside Chase, after Cain warned everybody that something bad will happen. She was surprised when she heard Cain raising his voice, but what he just shouted wasn't that convincing.
They were in one of the bases of The Pier, the West Arc, and an attack from Normals should be easily precedented. Plus, with the fact that Azi is here to greet the new recruits, they did not really expected that a highest Angel will decent right in the center of their underground base.
Chase believed Cain's prediction and readied his sword-but not just Cain-Azi stopped with his welcoming speech by the voice of their newly recruit. She saw him eyed Cain for a sec and shouted everyone to get out of the base as fast as they can.
Who would object the word of an Archangel who sided with humanity?
After Azi warned everyone at the Pier, it's too late. A light flashed right infront of Chase and Deneb and a figure of, somewhat, a man, appeared before their eyes. Right after that moment, just with a snap, Azi is already in front of Deneb.
