It's Pretty Much Sunshine

Chapter 3

When we get to the register Liam places the bag of pretzels on the counter and reaches for the 2 jugs of milk. "Oh no I can pay for these" I say shyly.

"No come on love its okay its not like I don't have the money. I have nothing else to spend it on. " he reaches down and grabs the milk then places it on the counter.

"Is this all?" The Lady asks nicely.

"Yep" Liam smiles at me. The lady finishes ringing up my items and places them in bags. Liam grabs the bags and begins walking towards the door. I follow him as he sits on the bench just outside the door.

I take a seat beside him as he reaches in the bag and grabs the pretzels. He opens the bag then places them in front of me.

"I bought them so we can share " he says with a small chuckle. I reach into the bag and pull out a few.

"So do you live around here" he asks placing a couple pretzels in his mouth. "Y-yeah" I stutter. I still can't believe that its him. "Cool. So let me guess you're a fan" he says.

"Yes again" I say blushing. "How'd you know?" He just chuckles.

"Its pretty obvious love. Your face turns bright red every time I say something to you and you keep stuttering" I can feel my cheeks heat up. "But its okay I think its kind of cute"

I try not to smile at the fact that Liam Payne just said I look cute in a way. "So how long are you in town?" I ask.

"Um. I leave tomorrow and head to LA" he replies shoving more pretzels into his mouth.

"Oh. Well I should probably get going my mom is waiting for the milk so that we can finish baking" I say standing up.

"Wait" Liam startles me when he jumps up. "You're just going to eat and go without giving me your name" he says.

"Ugh... I.. my name is Lexi " I say.

"Well Lexi," he says "Do you think that I could maybe get your number so that we could maybe meet up next time I'm in town?" He surprises me by asking.

"Yeah sure" I say. Liam takes out his phone I give hi my number and watch as he types it in. My phone vibrates and I take it out of my pocket to see a message that reads 'It's Liam, just in case you didn't know' I let out a small laugh.

"Well I'll let you go text me when you get home" Liam says walking towards a group of cars. I smile all the way to my car. When I get home I put the milk away and see that my mom is fast asleep on the couch with her apron still on. I walk over and place a kiss on her forehead then grab and blanket and cover her up "love you momma" I whisper.

I got upstairs to my bedroom. I grab my phone out of my pocket and send Liam a quick text. "Hey".

I quickly change into a pair of pajamas and use a makeup wipe to take off my makeup. My phone vibrates on the dresser beside me. I pick it up and read the text from Liam. "Hey love. It was really nice meeting you. I hope that we can meet up again sometime. :) "

I reply saying that I hope we can too. I text him and say that I'm going to bed that I'll talk to him in the morning and he replies with. "It is morning love ;) haha but I know what you mean. Goodnight love"

I smile as I plug my phone into the charger and set my alarm. I fall fast asleep dreaming of those big brown eyes.
