Chapter 6 The Champion

she pulls me down into the Victory Road "Rosa where are we going?" I ask "you're gonna love this trust me" she says then keeps pulling me deep into the cave she pulls me into a pitch black room "Rosa I can't see anything" I say she sends someone out as she lights a torch "there now you can see but close your eyes" she says I do I hear foot steps "hey buddy would you mind digging a tiny hole for us to put this torch in?"

"Exca!" It cries "thank you" she says then grabs my hand "okay you can open them" I open my eyes there's a large hot spring "whoa!" I say "yeah it's nice isn't it?" I nod still in amazement she pulls her shirt up "GAH! Rosa you can't change right in front of me!" I say looking away "I have my swimming clothes under it" I look she does I take my jacket and shorts off my under clothes doubles as swimming clothes I lower myself in "how is it?" Rosa asks "it's nice" she sits next to me "ahhh it's so calming" she says "hey there's a sign over there Victory Road hot spring relaxes both mind and body" I say then turn back around "that explains *yawn* a lot" she says she must be tired I can't blame her I am to but I don't know why "what's *yawn* happening to me?" She asks "must be the spring water it has special relaxing *yawn* properties" I explain "yeah must be" I see something on the sign "warning falling asleep may cause lost of memory since entering" my mind is too weak to understand "so tired but can't fall asleep" I dip my face in the water "phew woke me up Rosa don't fall asleep you'll forget what happened here"

"okay *yawn* I won't... Fall... Asleep" I dip her in she looks more awake "I'm good!" She smiles at me I smile back even though I dipped my head in the water not that long ago I feel more tired then before "is it just me or are you even more *yawn* tired then before"

"yeah it's almost as if *yawn* it's trying to put us to sleep"

"I wonder what *yawn* does that" as from seemingly nowhere I hear a song it's almost sleep inducing I look there's a Jigglypuff singing "oh no a Jigglypuff its song is a lullaby we're soon gonna *yawn* fall asleep" Rosa looks at me tired "Nate"

"yeah *yawn*?"

"I need to *yawn* confess something to you"

"okay but make it quick the Jiggly... Puff"

"I... Love you"

"I love you too"

"no I *yawn* love you love you"

"I-I do... Too" she lays her head on my shoulder then falls asleep "to hard to stay awake" I fall asleep "huh what happened?" I ask looking around "warning falling asleep in hot spring may cause memory loss of anything that happened since entering we must've fell asleep well I'm sure nothing important happened" I stand up and grab Rosa she's still asleep if I know anything she's going to be asleep for hours I dry off then wrap her in the towel she dries off I put her shirt on and the rest of her clothing "ugh this feels wrong" I put my jacket on and shorts then put her on my back "huh where am I what happened?" She asks "oh your awake" I say then let her down she falls I help her up "what's the problem?"

"I don't know the spring must've made my legs weak I can't walk"

"put your arm around me" she does then moves close to me "thank you Natey"

"Natey?"

"Do you not like it?"

"Of course not it's nice"

"okay well let's get out of this place"

"Golbat!" There's a Golbat but they don't live in Victory Road before I can even send out Ampharos it sinks its teeth into Rosa's arm and flies off "Rosa are you okay!?" I ask she's crying "Nate b-b-bring me to the Pokémon center" I pick her up and full on sprint out "I need you to do everything you can for her" I say they take her into a room and do some check "we need to extract the poison from her but it may be painful for her just keep her comfort that's all you need to do" I nod and walk in "Nate what do they need to do?"
